So, I'm curious as to know how much keys are worth, I would like to trade so I can get some but I'm not sure if I could get any depending on their worth. If someone could help me with this I would be happy to trade if I have the required items.

*I have a ton of crates but would rather not spend a lot of money for keys, that's why I want to know.*

Is anyone in the clan a big expert and can push this member in the right direction? For starters, backpack.tf will be a friend of yours. It tells you the prices of keys, items, hats, stranges, parts, crates, etc.

Poor man is incredibly experienced with trading and has done a lot of very high tier trading with having one of the most expensive backpacks of our division.

I would also be willing to teach him the ins and outs of trading and what different amounts pertain. I've been involved in everything from scrapping to unusual trading, so I feel I could give him the basics if he needs it.

However to price items backpack.tf is your trader bible, but remember the prices are guidelines, they also change fairly regularly.

I don't consider to be on the same level as poor man but I am a very active trader in the mid-tier price range, mostly because unusual trading is a huge pain and way too slow but more then willing to help should you ever need advise.

You can also find keys cheaper on the steam market as well as through paypal (which can be shady for a variety of reasons so only go through reputable traders with a middle man.)

I'm not completely new to trading but I have never really put much thought into keys, but noticing I had a lot of crates and I would like to open them I obviously became interested. I feel spending 2.50$ for each crate is a little pricey so I was wondering the worth of keys with metal/weapons. And yes, I knew I would probably lose money hardcore, that is why I posted on the forum BEFORE I started trading for keys. Thx.

Keys are worth 1.88 * 4

3 scrap = 1 reclaimed
3 reclaim = 1 refined
7.33 refined = 1 key = 60 weapons
