Katsuragi Keima is known on the net as the god of getting the girls while in real life he?s known as otamegane and he hates all real girls. However he is approached by Elsie, a devil from hell, to help her in catching runaway spirits that hide in people. Apparently the spirits only hide in the hearts of girls and the only way to get the souls out is by making the girl fall in love so the spirit gets forced out. And he?s not allowed to fail or he will lose his head.

Though I was two-months late in finishing this series, the ending to Kaminomi felt really rushed, in my opnion... I was curious on others' thoughts on the ending to such an amazing, long-running series, if anyone's also finished it?

It did seem kind of rushed. Chihiro makes sense as she was the only one who actually loved Keima without him essentially forcing her into it. But in terms of who I think he should have been with, probably Ayumi or Tenri. More so Ayumi. Ayumi really is the opposite (or other half if you will) of Keima. Especially during the Heart of Jupiter arc you really see that she does take the extra step and says that she was even willing to marry him. It just made sense to see them together. Another reason I really liked his first conquest of her because it was him trying to work with his opposite.

Tenri is more like Keima so I guess it also made sense for her to be a logical choice. She was willing to do almost anything and sacrifice herself for Keima as shown in the Goddess and Heart of Jupiter arcs. I am still really looking forward to the anime adaptation of the rest of the series. I feel like there is enough material in this last arc to cover 24 episodes.

I think my favorite conquest was Ayumi, so that probably influenced my answer a bit. But my favorite part of the entire series would have to be when he goes back in time to the elementary school and all the girls are ranked based on popularity and he gets Tenri's rank to 1. The whole process was just awesome. Also when we find out who Dokuro really is... wow! What were some of your favorite moments of the series?

Yeah, I actually stayed loyal to supporting Chihiro ever since the Mai High Festival Arc; my friend was supporting Tenri to end with Keima from that point, so we always got into arguments, lol. I continued to just say how she loved him pre-conquest, versus how it was Keima who won the others girls' hearts during-conquest. After the Mai High Festival Arc is also when Keima's first major change occurs, too, where he starts to not see these as mere 'conquests', I believe..

Yeah, oh man, when they showed who Dokurou was... I was like, "holy crap, really?!". You just gotta imagine Nikaido saying "Onii-chan" during the final season, haha! :P

Favorite moments, eh? I still did think that was a strong scene during the climax of the Mai High Festival Arc, when Keima discovered Chihiro wasn't the host to the final Goddess. I really enjoyed discussing with my friend who'd host the final Goddess, Mercury, too. It was a really strong scene, they did a good job with it in the anime adaption during Megami-hen, imo.

And, yeah, the Heart of Jupiter arc early on when he was having to deal with Kaori was really interesting. I still remember seeing how pissed off she was after Keima and Tenri were doing the modified Romeo & Juliet play, it was so great! I was hoping to see if she would be shown in the present time, but... nothing came.

But, we all know who Keima should've ended with...

Hm, what do you think of them replacing Fiore's roles with Lune? Fiore seems... really insignificant from how she was put into the manga, would make more sense for Lune to be the one to stab Kanon / Apollo, you'd think, right? Both for the character and the viewer, to establish some connection between her / Vintage and Kanon, rather than a no-name Vintage grunt, given we see Lune more as the manga progresses (and could tie her to being the one who stabbed Kanon).

'Are there any other anime-changes to Kaminomi, if you can think of any? Out of curiosity.

I liked that Lune was the one who did the stabbing. Lune, in the manga, has some much involvement in the Heart of Jupiter arc I think it just made sense. Lune had some great lines and scenes during the Heart of Jupiter arc too. By far my favorite antagonist.

Yeah, def. agree with, Lune, as much as I can... my memory of the earlier portions of the arc are hazy... though, I should re-read the Heart of Jupiter Arc... since I left Kaminomi a good 2-3 months prior to the series' ending, and just finished the series a few days ago, after picking it up again to introduce a friend to the anime adaption. It'd be a good refresher! xD
