Hey guys, that Irritating, skirt-wearing, absurdly dressed, loud mouthed Scotsman is here again... with very good reason.
As some of you may have noticed, possibly none at all
I've not been on the Teamspeak much, left early from events, just said my Hello's and Goodbye's and nothing else, or just simply been not on.
I appreciate and admire some of the concern you guys have voiced through PM's and Steam messages. Please make note your caring attitude means a lot to me. Seriously... a lot.
I'll stop dilly dallying or whatever you Americans call it, and get right to the meat of the matter.
Some of you, if not most, will be aware that I'm a voluntary Police officer. Or as the Scottish Government call it, a "Community Support Officer". My main roles are to assist "proper" Policemen with their duties, but mostly attending minor matters. E.g Domestic/Household disputes, stop and searches, as well as call-outs to anti-social and/or abusive individuals which are a danger/problem to the community.
In other words this: :chair:  :facewall: :cursing:
Just under a week a go, I got a call-out to what appeared to be a usual domestic dispute, involving two males. Nothing new, and easily dealt with. Only to be minutes later (I'll keep this suitable for all audiences) walking in to see before my eyes, one of my best friends sustaining a graphic chest-injury.
The perpetrator, also a good friend of mine, was immediately pepper-sprayed and handcuffed.
The injuries sustained to my friend were critical and almost life threatening. His chances of surviving minimal- and as you can imagine I was distraught and all over the place with the matter.
Thankfully however, He looks to be making a slow, and evenly paced recovery. He was literally a fraction of a millimetre away from turning over.
Due to these events I've not been in the correct mind-set, I've been contemplating areas of my life which need a good seeing to, and have at times been ready to snap and in all honesty, contemplated that some thoughts and situations may have an adverse effect on my mentality- presumably bringing about aspects of insanity.
Thankfully none of that has set in, I've been administered some medication, and have been swiftly switched to minor duties (Land-owner complaints, small disputes, and the odd stop and search). Bear in mind, I wish to continue my voluntary role, as It's all I've got going at the moment- I'll get to that lower in my explanation.
On the whole, I've not been in the mood of getting involved with others in the gaming community, I'm seeking to just playing alone for a bitty, making sure I'm slowly unwinding into a stable mentality- So I'm not risking snapping or going on a rant with others and potentially upsetting someone.
Quick notes for the community:
- Wewo, your Week 3 report for the Allies will be done by Sunday
- LittleBEER, your absence is unexpected, I'm so lonely!
- Everyone else, It's not a Skirt! It's called a Kilt. And yes... it's nice and breezy.
That over with, I'd be may as well addressing another issue which has led to my recent absence, lack of interaction and tom-foolery as it were.
Over here in not so Bonnie Scotland, the Schools are on holiday for 7 weeks, instead of the norm of 6.
It's been a struggle, and I'll tell you why.
I've been faced with disappointment, lies, ruined plans, loneliness and as a result: depression and that feeling of "Really?.... now what? What do you expect me to do now?....".
Not that it's had any profound effect on myself. It's just the loneliness and curiosity aspects which are setting in, and making me think - Something which might cause some damage, as I'm not renowned for thinking things through.
Please take this more as a rant and a channel of comment and thought from myself, I feel as though writing down the current situation is key, allowing everyone to at least see what is happening in an individuals life. Afterall, we're all curious... right? ... Right guys?
I'm a guy who puts everything out for everyone, regardless. If they want to do something- give me a shout. Want to stay over, come over any time. Want to have a few drinks, I'm free any time. Want a chat, feel free. I'll do anything and everything for anyone, just to make sure they're Ok, happy, set nicely e.t.c e.t.c.
Some people may find it weird, strange and even too friendly. However fact of the matter is, I've never had anyone in my life act in a caring and courteous manner towards myself- I've always been faced with hardship and at the end of it- some rude and/or depleting comment which brings everything down from something I've put my time and effort into doing.
As a result, I'm giving to people what I've never had- reassurance and the open-opportunity that someone will be there for you regardless of the situation.
Before you reply: I have had no contact with my Dad for over 4 years, I hardly see my Mum (or Mom) due to work. And it's sad to say, but I have hardly any friends- to an extent none at all. Parents were divorced at a young age, and due to their work (Offshore and Office work) I hardly got to spend some time with them.
Can I also take this to also note, since being moved to/from England and Scotland I find it very, very hard to trust individuals and am somewhat sceptical of change.
It's a confusing situation as I get along with everyone In-school. However out of school I've got literally no-one, except myself.
It's especially infuriating as well as somewhat depressing to see some of the people you know, who you've tried to reach out to, walk right under your nose and past your window- knowing fine too well they know where you live and know you hardly ever get out the house. The last social event I attended was over 2 months ago- that was the last time I was out of the house, excluding errands and/or call-outs due to community policing.
It's a tough matter, I don't usually talk and/or open up about it much. Though I guess it's the best thing for you guys to at least get to know me a bit better, and the situation at hand.
I appreciate and admire any responses given to this, as they will most likely mean a lot to myself.
This is not a sob-story. This is not a photo-opportunity.
And to top things off, I've just looked out my window to see a group of friends who I know, gather up outside where I live, mention my name, then to only walk off into the night.
The fact they considered and thought about involving me in something is heart-warming, but also painful.
That said. I'd be may as well stopping there. As I'm sure the English language is needing a rest after I've just used my Higher-level English skills to the max.
If you're reading this, you Sir/Madam are truly worthy of my gratitude and thanks, I appreciate you reading this all, and taking the time out to read a small extract of my life and daily living. I thank you, and bit thee farewell.
