Help needed with mic.

I just installed Vista , the only issue I got is the mic is always open , If I blow in the mic AT ANY TIME (vent open or not) it will go out in the speakers instantly...It's running on audigy 2ZS. I had that issue once in XP , it must be a stupid setting.....

Right click the tray icon (speaker), click playback devices, then click on your speakers and click properties. In the window that opens, go to levels, you can mute the microphone there.

Hm...that's interesting...I have no idea why your mic would automatically be open...yeah you may have to play around with the properties a bit...try and set it to a key...but I'm not sure...so pretty much try Pagan's idea of muting it when you aren't but to just not have to worry about it I'd try and find something to have it set to a key to use it....but whatever you fidn to work the best
