Ruling Question

Hey there guys, I have a question about something:

On Convoy, it is possible to snipe the bridges from INSIDE the spawn room. I don't do this myself, but I have noticed about two or three instances where others have. What ruling do we have on this? Do we tell the person they have to actually leave the spawn, or do we not comment?

I think it's pretty cheap, but they can be killed in there, so I don't personally see a problem. I love killing a sniper as a pyro when he's only 3' from the health.

Is this only one-way? Can you kill people inside the spawn? If that is the case then yeah its cheap but if you can only shoot out of the spawn then I would say exploit and deter the players from doing it, I will give it a shot when I get home.

Yeah, that seems to be the issue...the only class able to effectively handle that situation would be another sniper, but because of the angle it would be nearly impossible to get to them without being seen...unless they're stupid enough to stand near the door and be fricasseed.

I am confused here, are they shooting with the door with it open because you can't shoot through the door so yeah its not an exploit.

Umm, if we are using the version 2, this won't happen?

Are they shooting out the windows or out the open door?

The open door, but some stay back far enough to open the door but still remain unreachable, or wait until someone else opens the door.

Hmm... well it sucks then, but I don't see it being that much different than using any other environmental factor for cover. Just got to remember to bob and weave a little more when crossing the bridges.

It's lame but I've never had a problem dealing with them. Backstab doesn't work but Six-Gun to the face does just fine.

Huskies raises a valid point. I recall that there was a different version of the map released, and that there was some flap with the map-maker over it. Perhaps we can contact him and work to reach a happy medium?
