Tech Help Installing second SSD

Hi

i want to install a second ssd as raid is there anything i need to change in settings like disable defrag ect.. or can i just plug and play and move my gaming files ?

Do you backup your data on a regular basis? Running in a raid configuration is very risky... 1 drive goes down then you lose all your data.

To answer your question - If you've never setup a raid configuration before then just take a look at the tons of tutorials out there. You shouldnt have a problem adding it to your configuration but I would just air on the cautious side. Backup stuff almost once a week.

i only use my pc for gaming nothing else so i dont use backup so just plug and play and change the bios to raid? nothing more?

FYI, the process of converting the two drives to a raid array will format everything on the old drive.

But yes, enable RAID in the BIOS, then a secondary screen (outside of BIOS) should show up when you reboot before windows loads. Enter that setup and add the two drives to a RAID0 array.
