I think Servine has played the beta, and said it's nothing like BF4. Idk.....I'm on the fence about it. I was fairly disappointed with BF4, part of me thinks I shouldn't pick it up, another part of me keeps wanting to give DICE and EA another chance.
I'm sure I'll end up buyin it lol

I played about an hour of the beta and couldnt handle anymore, wasnt battlefield to me at all
I didn't play the beta, but I followed the reviews and basically all the top youtubers and streamers and beta testers, said that it was just bf4, but "cops and robbers" and they were not interested in it. After that Hardline was supposed to release the November i believe, but they moved it back to 2015. So hopefully they make some big changes!
But what I really noticed is that it should be called Cops and Robbers....(made by the creaters of Battlefield) lol
As for me, I will only buy it if eGO supports it.

did try the beta (its still sittin in my comp actually.) It's ... different.
Worth the 40-50$ premium they'll charge?? I'm not convinced.

I tried the Beta as well..
While I liked it..I don't think it's worth as much as it costs. Not to mention as far as I remember it's just 2 maps (or 1??) and very little difference in gameplay.
Maybe as like a DLC or Mod or something, but not as it's own game unless they add alot more to it.

I played the beta and i can safely say it was not battlefield. I know i sound cynical but this isn't a battlefield game, at this point i probably won't buy it til the price drops if i do end up buying it before it will be strictly for the competitive game play

I played the Beta and the two game modes examples.. And I will buy it just to have it as part of the BF series collection and veteran status. Those two reasons only? No, it was an excellent game expansion concept and brought back things like gas grenades and gas masks, the zip lines , and more..So yeah, I will surely play.. but will i pay in advance again for another EA or DICE game.. NO.....I will not , I will not fund them publishing broken games that should of stayed in beta longer.. What happened to pride in the products companies produce..? Ohh yeah I forgot it became excuses..

Ya haters, HARDLINE was EPIC
I am going to buy this game, it's made from the dead space guys so I a know a good campaign is under way. That and everything for multiplayer seemed to be fairly balanced, everywhere from gadget effectiveness to weapon handling. I think it's going to be amazing.

The game play I seen and the very little I played really did nothing for me wanting this game. The game has the Battlefield look but that is really it. I don't know why they even had the Battlefield name in the game at all. Really should of just said Battlefield frost engine.
But lets say it was just called Hardline...
Wow a cop and robbers game made with the frost engine sounds badass! Fire up the demo. Cool I know this set up. Very Battlefield and easy to navigate. Strange though seeing such military style guns and rocket launchers? Really rocket launchers. Where did the bad guys find damn rocket launchers? WTF, The cops have them too...
Meh.
More weapons and gadgets make it fun anyway. Sweet vehicles! Some regular cars and bikes and a sweet suv and a chopper! with a mini gun... WHY DOES THIS chopper HAVE A DAMN MINI GUN!?!?
I thought this was cops and robbers? Not U.S military and robbers. And now I see an APC with a cannon. Yeah cops...
Hell bad guys just have a hard time stealing all that loot then...
Why the hell are cops stealing the money? Maybe they are dirty cops? This game is getting all kind of weird now and WHERE IS EVERYONE!?! Did they really just evacuate the whole city or something?
So what they did was slap some skins and added some new animations over BF4 when they really should of just used the frost engine to power a new game...

was not easier, the R700 had the EXACT same stats as the M40A5 from Bf4. Thing was, auto weapons had recoil, so I was shot at less often.
Agreed... Hardline was great for the time that I played beta.. (I played it ALOT) I found it enjoyable and a mix between battlefield and CS.. This is something I would enjoy especially if they add bigger scaled maps to make for the battlefield feel.
I think you will all buy it and it will be great when it does eventually come out
I will buy it as soon as I get spare money for the game.

Not interested. Found BF4 to be basically the same game as BF3, just with a grey filter, while this is the same game as the previous two with "police and robbers".

Yes. I played the Beta and found it to be a scenery change with the same concept as BF. Won't play nearly as much as BF4, but I will play the game. I too, will get it for the Battlefield series and the competitiveness of it all.

i think the basic problem here is just the name of it and that alot of ppl (not necessarily in eGO) forget what a beta basically is. if it didnt have battlefield in it, im sure alot of those "this isnt battlefield" comments wouldnt be there and ppl would look at it from a different angle and probably even like it. what confused me the most were the negative comments putting down the WHOLE game even though we only got to play 1 map on 2 modes. can you really judge a game by only this? imo no.
does it look like bf4? yea it does but i dont understand what ppl expect. im sure frostengine 3 has alot more to give going by graphics but imagine the the specs ppl need for it. they still want to sell the game to the casual gamer and not just the hardcore guys who update their pc every 1-2 years.
ive played the beta a whole lot (most of the time with eGO guys) and we had a crapton of fun. now while it mustve sucked for the other team to lose the game within less than 1,5 min it was incredible fun for us and motivated us to beat our best time (1,23min). just based on this, i can see alot of fun once the game is played competitively.
there will be another beta before the game comes out so i can only advise ppl to jump in and forget about the name. i play games to have fun and enjoy them. this game provides a new experience with the new scenario and the new (and still upcoming) gamemodes, maps and of course weapons/gadgets (zipline and grapling hook are fun to use). forget that it "looks" like bf4. i mean what else should it look like? surely not like CoD. if you forget about those things and just let yourself sink into the gameplay, im sure it will be enjoyable.
