BF Hardline

im gonne get it probly but apparently there's gonna be a another beta of what there gonna do but there doing net codes of wat they did in bf4

i think the basic problem here is just the name of it and that alot of ppl (not necessarily in eGO) forget what a beta basically is. if it didnt have battlefield in it, im sure alot of those "this isnt battlefield" comments wouldnt be there and ppl would look at it from a different angle and probably even like it. what confused me the most were the negative comments putting down the WHOLE game even though we only got to play 1 map on 2 modes. can you really judge a game by only this? imo no.

does it look like bf4? yea it does but i dont understand what ppl expect. im sure frostengine 3 has alot more to give going by graphics but imagine the the specs ppl need for it. they still want to sell the game to the casual gamer and not just the hardcore guys who update their pc every 1-2 years.

That is what I was getting at with my post. I think they should of never had the Battlefield in the name, but they did added it so I'm going to base it off of the series now because, hey they are marketing off the series.
I think the reason they had Battlefield in the name is all a marketing ploy because an established series does sell more games then a whole new series.

The second part is no you can't judge the game by the two mode one map beta we got. But you can get an understanding in what direction the game is going. That is what I think people were irked about is that the game is that the game felt too much of the same. It felt like Battlefield and not like Hardline.

What I would like to see is they add life into the city and not feel like an empty Battlefield but a Thriving Hardline city. I don't know how the engine could run on multiplayer with npc people, cars, news choppers? But if it is a bottleneck I think it would be on the cpu and not the gpu, more specifically a cpu on older consoles who I think are holding back the gaming industry (looking at you 360,ps3)...

Yea, when the price goes down. It's worth the price of an expansion pack, $15.00

This! I don't think this game is deserving of a full price tag at the moment or even the DLC you know they are going to add to this game. At the given state of the game it felt like a $15 expansion pack.

Played some beta.

Basically it's Grand Theft Battlefield if you ask me.

Just like the next Call of Duty is the newest version of MechWarrior Lite or Halo 5, with future weapons that make no sense for the series what so ever, this "Battlefield" is borrowing from other genres they really have no business being in.

I'd rather see them going back in time again, or sticking with the current events and crisis.

The game play style is interesting and has a re-play value; however, it's just not Battlefield.

You better patens that and make it a game before rockstar, dice, and EA team up to make it. That would actually be pretty fun having an fps gta.
You have been warned.

Here's what I don't understand: DICE devs make BF3 drastically different from BC2 - people complain. DICE devs make BF4 and Hardline similar: people complain. What is it that you people want? DICE is trying something new and trying to make money without releasing a numbered Battlefield game every year. To be fair to the developers, they still update the engine every year and add new features based on community suggestions. (I'm trying to distinguish Battlefield from Call of Duty here. It's more than a reskin.)

Marketing is the sole reason for the Battlefield name in the title. In the past, Visceral has put out other quality games (some of the newer Medal of Honor games), but they have been ignored simply because the franchise did not have a name for itself. So the developers are trying to branch out from the classic Battlefield genre. If it copied BF4 exactly in gameplay and style, players would complain about the similarity. But since they changed up the gameplay a little, gamers are saying, "It's not Battlefield," before giving it an opportunity to mesh with Battlefield. Like Sajora said, we've only seen one map! Nobody knows the enjoyment factor the other maps could hold. Hell, the developers could even add the option for regular conquest-/rush-styled maps.

DICE is asking for players' opinions to improve their game. It's Battlefield if DICE and EA say it's Battlefield. Get your heads out of your butts, quit acting pompous and all-knowing, and let them make the decisions. If you can't enjoy what you're offered, stick with BF4, play something else, or, even better, design your own game and market it. As for me, I'm going to give Hardline a shot.

not really because gta have strip clubs and hmm you can do alot of crimes but battlefield its shooting and knifing in the battlefields so it will be complty weird but eGO and dice and ea making a game would be funny see wat there idea is :D
