Why not.. I know how to get the latest emulator.
its not that hard to run one
... Its fun and easy to play on...

and its free!!!
Lets chat about it.

Not 100%, but don't think this will go over well. Pirating and all.

Not if the server is not in the US.
Its easy to buy one in another country...
And whats pirated!?
You have to buy wow to play wow... wether you pay the monthly fee or not.

No you can actually download WoW for free, along with Burning Crusade.

I used to run my own private server for a little bit.
Running a private server isn't exactly illegal. Although, Blizzard has sued someone a while back and won.

But most emulator developer groups such as MaNGOS have smartened up and started calling their program a generic server emulator with no game in mind, and they don't allow talk of any games in their forums. This essentially keeps Blizzard's attorneys at bay.

But I'm not sure of the exact legality of using WoW to connect to a private server. I'm certain it would break their ToS and EULA, but other than that I don't believe it would be illegal.

Yeah thats were the other country comes in.
They cant do anything if its out of the country

6 level 60s and 2 level 70s across 4 servers.

But my account is only active to play with my wife on Silverhand.

But don't you want a WoW server? Curious. haha.

Anyway, have 4 70s on mannoroth

WoW is too addicting, I can play TF2 and take a break no problem, but if I ever started playing WoW I'd have no life. I don't deny it's a great game and every living organism I've ever known plays it, but it's not for me. I'll play an MMO when we have fully functional virtual reality with walking pads and robot babes.

I played WoW from beta up until a few months ago. 3 70's, a 68, 60, etc etc.. like a million mid-level alts. That game just wasn't good for me. But I played on Warsong, then Dark Iron (in the PA guild), then Garithos, then Mal'Ganis.

A guy in our guild got one someone's private server, said it was pretty fun, but I don't know much about how to do it.

I have a private server, it was a pain to setup the first time, but it's great fun to get in there and play around with game master rights.

I have a lvl 65 on Dark Iron. Was in the Panda Attack guild (Horde), I assume Barlim meant the Penny-Arcade guild on the same server. Darn you, Barlim! I had no clue we were mortal enemies. :-D

Haha yeah, I was in Fancy Lads. I remember killing Scott Kurtz's shaman a few times, until his buddies would come along and protect him. Those were good times... I did some battlegrounds with Gabe of Penny Arcade and his crew, we rolled Arathi Basin. Other than that server, I was Horde 4life, yo.

think i got a 14 rogue on Toxicwow and a 70 Warrior and 70 priest on Beyondwow
havent played it in years though :/

I feel out of the loop for not playing but at the same time I enjoy my life as well as my bank account and also my principles dictate strongly against world of warcraft.

Wow was too addicting. I had 3 level 70s and many 60s. Decided it was time to stop playing because it was destroying my social life.

And that's when I bought TF2 and got into eGO! :D
