Tech Help CS keyboard question

hello, I have a question about my keys when I am playing CS games. apparently when I am playing, my ctrl and shift keys do not work in any CS game, even though the binds are right and everything. and also ctrl does not work when I type in game, but shift does. they both work out of game and in steam chat and in every other game, just not for CS. it is only my shift and ctrl keys, nothing else. if anyone knows why that is or what I can do to fix it, it would be very appreciative. please and thank you

i just checked that, and i activated it then deactivated it and neither helped

Do you have the keys bound to anything else? Maybe also something in autoexec?

Another thing you could try is unbinding them then rebinding them

they aren't bounded to anything else, and I checked all the binds and they are all correct, its just that the actual buttons don't work in game for some reason. no sticky keys, no other binds, everything should be correct and it was working perfectly the other day, then it just randomly stopped working and I didn't change anything...

i am on a desktop. I don't know what was wrong, but it suddenly started working yesterday and I didn't do anything different. it works now, but if anyone could still figure out what it could have been, that would be really nice so I know what to do in the future, if not its fine

Did you do anything to try and fix it between your previous post and when you got it to work?

If so, what was it?
