I wanted to post this in the general forums because there is more traffic. I suggested an idea for scrimages and a couple of people liked it, so I decided to go into detail. To give people an opportunity to play, I think we should have 2 leagues: red and blue. The people interested in playing would post in a forum and then divided into a league. There is nothing to do with skill, only the fact you are an e, eG, or eGO. Each league will have 3 teams: e, eG, eGO.
There will be 2 scrim days (maybe Sat. and Sun.) where teams play each other. This way there are more opportinities to play and hopefully reasonable times in which to play. We can have one time at an afternoon time and one in the evening time even.
The rules of playing will be the same as they are now: first into the server, first to play. This is basically taking what we have now an making a 2nd league. The scrim champs of each league will play each other for the eGO championship. The scrim champ icon we have right now can be easily modified to be colored red if red league wins.
While this may seem like a lot of work for Signe, I think each team and/or league should have one or two coordinators, not necessarily captains, but those who help out Signe in getting people to play and organize. I think it's hard for any one person to run everything, and it would be beneficial to help out. I personally would volunteer myself. These coordinators could also help monitor the matches. If we do 15 v. 15, that allows 2 slots for spectators to come in and make sure everything runs smoothly. This way Signe could lock the server, set the PW, and then the coordinators would run the show from there to help out Signe.
Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated. I hope this idea creates interest. Again this is merely a suggestion to make scrims more accessible to everyone.
