Yes I am starting a cal team for tf2, but we need to get a team together quick.
The date will be 2/29/08 At 8:00 CST <---- This is tryouts
pass will be tryout, ip is 8.12.65.100:27015
It will be 8v8 and matches will be on sundays.
The preseason starts March 2 which is a monday, so we will need a team by then.

I think we should wait until next sign ups. I'll help you out next time

Eww 8v8 what are they thinking they should have done 12v12 at the lowest. I'd be interested in participating or at least help in coming up with different team combos and strategies.

I would be interested in joining, but i would'nt be good enough to make the top 8 players of the clan :O

12 v 12 would be really hectic I think, but sure would be fun! :D

I'm definitely in for CAL, wasn't aware they had a TF2 division until now.

I am starting a new job, and cannot commit to it right now. I know I will have 8-5 and have a weekend off, but have no idea how much overtime I have to do. Good luck and have fun to all the people who try out for the team.

I would definetly do it, but i do agree with garden. You might want to consider waiting till next sign-up becuase he would help you with it.

But im good all around with the classes. I know the Angles on a Demoman extremely well.

I would be very interested in doing this. I may not be anywhere near one of the 8 best players in the clan but if you need an experienced Pyro I think I can fill the role.

I am new to Team Fortress 2, but not Team Fortress. I did CAL and OGL for regular Team Fort a couple years back, and I'm not doin DoD:S CAL this season, so I have plenty of free time for it, especially on Sundays. See you guys at tryouts :D

I can help out, I would like to play this season. I havent been in CAL since UT but my Quake, Tribes and UT clans won first place. I can play any class except Demo and Sniper

Here's the info about the current tournament:

I think that if this is the sort of thing we're likely to do, we should plan a weekly team practice (CAL team vs. the rest of eGO or something like that) in order to make sure the team is ready. I agree with GGVW that it might be better to wait until next time. That way, we'll have previous winners to unseat. ;-)

I'd be honored to play a Demoman on the team, although I'm sure there are better players out there who could crush the opposition better.

Flippy's idea sounds great, if we can have scrims against the clan to make sure we're up to standards and ready to kick butt that'd be helpful.
