Any rule infraction may result in, but is not limited to, forfeit, round loss, and disqualification. Each account of a rule infraction is dealt by a case by case basis. The tournament admins reserve the right to change/modify any of the rules listed at any given time. Admins will have the final say on any issue.
Admins:
Ever wondered what would happen when some of Counter-Strike's biggest clans engaged in an all-out battle? CS Division's own Ric and Rob are hosting the Battle of the Communities, a tournament to increase the competitive relation between the CS communities. For this tournament, four communities, EdgeGamers, HellsGamers, Reflex-Gamers, and Prestige Gaming, will muster their best players to fight for bragging rights and the honor of victory.
Overview:
- Time: January 11th, 2014 @ 3:00 EST
- "Battle of the Communities" is a tournament to increase the competitive relation between the counter-strike communities. For this tournament we have four communities; EdgeGamers, HellsGamers, Reflex-Gamers, and Presitge Gaming.
Format:
- The bracket, which will be randomized at the start of the event, will be played as a double elimination, best of one map. The finals will be a best of three maps with the winner of the upper bracket final having a bo3 advantage (winner of the loosers bracket must win two best of 3's)
Game settings: (Standard Competitive Settings)
- Round Time: 1 minute and 45 seconds
- Buy time: 15 seconds
- Start money: $800 for regulation play and $10,000 for overtime
- Freeze Time: 15 seconds
- Bomb Timer : 35 seconds
- Each team will be able to use one non connection related timeout each half - must be during a freeze time.
- Half time will be 5 minutes. If more time is needed you must ask an admin.
Veto process:
- Best of One
- Map and side selection will be determined by a knife round on de_dust 2. Winning team will have a choice of either map selection or side selection. The losing team will do what the winning team didn't pick.
- Best of Three
- Home team will ban one map, followed by the away team banning another. Away team will then pick the first map followed by the home team picking the second map. The map remaining will be randomly generated. Home team will pick the side of the first map, followed by the away team picking the side of the second map. The home team will then pick the finial map side.

Connections:
- Game crashes - If at any point the connection of a player is lost, game play can be paused by the team captain during the freeze time of the next round. If the player disconnects during freeze time the team captain may pause the game, but if the round starts you must wait in till the following round.

- The use of any cheat/exploit is prohibited
- No illegal boosts
- The use of in-game chat in an abusive, offensive, vulgar, or spamming manner at any point is prohibited.
- Each player MUST record a PoV demo, and must be sent in via email after the match. Demos will be reviewed upon request of a team and/or by the admins discretion
- Scheduling - All match days and times are set prior to the event. If a team needs to reschedule they must contact their opponent and an admin to work out a new time.
- The use of a ringer during a match is prohibited. All roster changes must be made before a match starts
- Teams MUST be in provided rooms in our TeamSpeak. Other voice programs are allowed for matches (Mumble, TeamSpeak, Skype, etc), but the admins need a way of contacting the teams and team captains.
- Steam Friends must be set to offline
