Greetings everyone!
In case you missed the front page post, MAUL 2 has launched! While a lot of things have changed, at least a few have stayed the same. Some of the changes affect how you recruit, and these have been outlined below.
Source verification
Users can follow these steps to become MAUL verified for our Source games (CS:S, CS:GO, DOD:S and TF2)
Minecraft verification
Users can follow these steps to become MAUL verified in Minecraft

In case you missed the front page post, MAUL 2 has launched! While a lot of things have changed, at least a few have stayed the same. Some of the changes affect how you recruit, and these have been outlined below.
- MAUL is now an external site. However, you can still access it the same old way by clicking on eGO Tools and clicking MAUL Home.
- From a user's profile, they can click "Edit Game IDs" to being the MAUL verification process. A user can also access the Edit Game IDs page from the forum by clicking the Edit my Game IDs in the eGO Tools menu
- Users applying for both Source (CS:S, CS:GO, DOD:S and TF2) and Minecraft games need to be MAUL verified
- The verification process has changed for Source (it's a lot easier now).
- The verification process for Minecraft is the same as Source used to be, with one exception: If a recruit has been connected to our Minecraft server recently, their ID will get verified when they input it instead of having to rejoin the server.
- Steam IDs are now stored in their Community ID variant (a big long number)
- We use MC UUIDs to identify Minecraft players. Players can convert from their username to the UUID format in MAUL when editing their Game IDs.
- Cross server chat now uses the '&' character instead of '#' (e.g. &Can I get an O on Avalanche?)
- We added a command that allows you to get extra information about players, including their forum rank, if they have one. The command is sm_maul_info <username|userid> in Source /maul info <username> in Minecraft
(Source) e.g. sm_maul_info #243 OR sm_maul_info "GamingRobot32"
(Minecraft) e.g. /maul info Cyprias
Source verification
Users can follow these steps to become MAUL verified for our Source games (CS:S, CS:GO, DOD:S and TF2)
- Go to your MAUL Profile
- Click the "Edit Game IDs" button
- Click the "Sign in through Steam" button. If it isn't present, you're already MAUL verified for Source
- Log in with your Steam credentials and click "Sign in"
- If prompted to enter a SteamGuard code, get the code from you email, enter it, and click "Submit"
- Congratulations, you should now be MAUL verified!
Minecraft verification
Users can follow these steps to become MAUL verified in Minecraft
- Go to your MAUL Profile
- Click the "Edit Game IDs" button
- If you're special and you know your Minecraft UUID, enter it. Otherwise, enter your Minecraft username and click the "Convert to Game ID" button (this may take several seconds)
Note: if you have an in-game nickname, your nickname is not your username. If you don't remember what your username is, you can use /realname <yourNickname> in-game to figure out what it is - Click "Save Changes"
- If your Minecraft ID is in green and has a checkmark by it, you're all done.
- If your Minecraft ID is in red and has an 'x' by it, you need to connect to the EdgeGamers Minecraft server to complete the verification process. Upon joining the server, you should see a message indicating you have been MAUL verified. If you do not, you will need to troubleshoot further (most likely your IP doesn't match the one you used when you entered your UUID)
