Tech Help Computer keeps Crashing in Games

Hey everyone, recently my computer has been crashing in games. Not just any game in particular but all of my games. It does not happen during just loading screens or cut scenes, but at anytime at all. The games freeze and I cannot alt+tab out or crtl+alt+del out either, all I can do is click the restart button on my computer (not CTD or BSOD). I just started monitoring my CPU temp with HWMonitor, and during Dragon Age: Inquisition my CPU temp jumped up to 74 degrees celsius. Shortly thereafter my pc crashed in the same manner as stated above (it dropped to 70 degrees before crashing). Now I am not sure if this is a high temp or not, but it seems rather high to me.
So now I have started my pc up and am just watching the CPU temp. Without running any games it has gotten up to 50 degrees celsius and the lowest has been 37 C. Any help would be great please!

Yeah seems like temp issues. Try cleaning out your pc, apply new thermal paste if you have any?

Clean out dust, make sure everything is connected properly, check thermal paste like Wizekraker suggested.

Ok i think i may have fixed the issue! By checking the Nvidia website I have found that my drivers where 9 months out of date. For now I will see if the game crashes if it continues to i will try the suggestions above!

Make sure everything is ok.

Well i would recommend you make sure everything is look OK. Make sure your GPU and other PC components can handle it. Also make sure your computer is free from dust, if you have to take apart everything and make sure there is no dust (NEVER Use a vacuum to clean your PC). And make sure your heat sync has no dust that is probably the problem. My PC is a work computer from 2009 and all of my games work like a charm (i have never upgraded my PC before, either) XD *win*

Ok I don't have any compressed air and my pc has started to crash again. So how would I go about cleaning it without compressed air?

Well, if you got dust bunnies in there, you could just pull it out yourself. Can also be careful in blowing the dust away yourself. But compressed air would be best. Other method is to disassemble the PC completely and clean it by hand with a sponge/towel.

NEVER Use a vacuum

You should by some compressed air its only about 5 - 9 dollars. Just make sure to never use a vacuum because it can cause static discharge and that other sciency stuff (just Google it to go into details. Otherwise mainly the problem is just dust.

74 degrees celsius isn't too bad, my laptop gets to about 90 before it downclocks the graphics and at about 95 it thermal shuts down.

Make sure your computer is 100% up to date. Whether it be windows or graphics. What your describing could be several things. Including hard drive failure, windows corruption, game corruption, windows or graphics out of date, video card failure.

My opinion id say, graphics/windows out of date and maybe graphics card failure. Since everything is fine up until you put a load on the GPU. Double check everything and report back!

74 degree C isn't bad? Some people won't let their CPU temps even peak over 65 degrees Celsius. Some CPUs, and GPUs will throttle you before you get above 75 degrees. Gaming laptops hit higher temps because they don't have efficient cooling compared to a desktop; you can't compare the two. Even then, you should look at getting a cooling pad for that laptop.

P.S. It's also been about 2 weeks since the last post...
