Preferred Linux Distro?

I've been bouncing back and forth between Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Linux Mint, myself.

How do you fare on Linux?

Kali is what I like to run.

My daughter's laptop is running Xubuntu, she plays Wizard101 and Pirates101 through Wine without issues.

Here at work, I use a Mint LiveCD for some data recovery / GParted access.
I've also used Backtrack for wireless network security testing...

For useability, I like Ubuntu-based. If my 9 year old can handle it, then I figure most people can.

I've had Ubuntu a few times over the year.

But, I've mostly used redhat/fedora for..hmm... 20 years now? About that.

For novice users, Ubuntu..

My preference for everyday linux computing is OpenSUSE.

I love Kali though, however I don't use it everyday.

If I remember right, Xubuntu is lighter on system resources. Not for sure though, may want to Google it.

Different interface too probably.. I've never played around with it so I wouldn't know for sure


or maybe its Lubuntu I'm thinking of.... idk..

I have seen a version of Edubuntu get put on a desktop before, but I only saw the installation screen part of that, so I didnt get to see my friend play around with that system. I remember him saying that it was for his kids to do their school work on. Thats all I remember.
