Change backup data

Ok so I just got my cell phone back from LG. However I backed up my data with this 1 software & need to find something that will help me to open up the data so I can manually retrieve it. I cannot afford to buy the "premium" software to get all the contacts that I need and stuff.

Any/all advice I will gladly accept. Feel free to ask any questions.

What is the name of the software that you used to back up the data? Gotta find out how it's back up. If it's a single file, it might be able to be opened with another program. Also, was the backup encrypted?

It may be worth it to purchase the program, as long as it's a one-time fee.
