I was just looking at my stats and under the weapon usage section, it says I have 1 kill with "PLAYER". There's no icon for it. Does anybody know what this is?

oh yeah.. when a your sentry kills u. u step in front of the sentry when it is activae and u WILL die

I just assumed that they were telefrags. I have one or two in my kill list as well.

That's a possibility. I know I've used that command at least twice and I'm showing 2 Player kills, but I wonder why HL stats would count that as being different from any other suicide? Anybody want to volunteer to test out that theory? If not, I'll try it when I get home tonight.

No, Telefrags count as "WORLD" I believe, since I have PLAYER kills and no telefrags. I believe you get a PLAYER kill when you get the kill icon that says something like "=(e)=endiment finished off =(eGO)=Nemo" or similar, which happens when I do a large percent of Nemo's health and then Nemo commits suicide (I believe).

lol way to use me as an example Endiment. It is telefrag. I know I have 3 of them and that's how many "Player" kills I have.

On a side note, last night I realized that killing Nemo and Huskies is the quickest way to up my HLX score. So Nemo... any time you want to stand still for me, feel free. ;)

(Actually, I don't know how many points exactly I got when playing your medic, but I know I did gain points last night, even if the graphic in my sig disagrees.)

I actually thought it was when your sentry's rockets hit someone up into the air, and they get killed by the fall.

Edit: What in the world is a "telefrag"? I come from UT, so I get a different mental image of a telefrag than what it probably means in TF2.

You are standing on an opposing engineer's tele exit, perhaps melee-ing it to doom, then someone uses the tele, and kills you.

Ah, so it is pretty much exactly the same concept as a UT telefrag. I usually play soldier or pyro, so I guess I haven't tried to melee enemy teleports to death too often.
