Good Afternoon,

Some of you may know me, some of you may not, I have been playing on Dust2 for about 2months now and have grown to love the community that is provided for me. I have become friends with many and can say that I can not log on without someone knowing me.

The point
Over the past few months I have noticed a considerable amount of hacking or abuse of programs that give someone a clear advantage over others. It's painfully obvious, the k/d does not lie, the pre-firing, the "lucky shot". I do my best to work with the admins when they are on, I always shoot them a message to have a look at something as I know they can only see so much while also having fun playing the game. Whether it's ignorance or blindness, it's unacceptable and it needs to end. I don't want to play on other servers, I don't want to leave a community I've grown to love.

You can always Record a demo of the "hackers" and send it in to Request A Ban forum. This way what you're seeing will be reviewed by leadership and they can ban or not depending on their views.

Ex,

I understand my duty as a member of this community to assist my co-members, I feel it's my duty to bring this problem to the admins on at the time, if I do so, one would assume it would be handled appropriately. On COUNTLESS occasions I have done this, and still nothing is done, even with OTHER people mention it as well it's still not handled. I am not an admin, demoing these hackers is not my job as I am almost always on with admins on and how can I trust the same leaders I play with that are admins if they cannot handle it themselves on the server? I don't want to waste my time is what I'm saying.

I am not trying to cause a ruckus, but it's quite frustrating.

Hey Ssick. I noticed you haven't posted a single ban request so I'm confused by what you mean. Simply bring it up with an admin is ok as they would fill out a ban request but I can't be sure if anything is being done or not.

dropbox it. you're not going to get the response you want in public.

if it's such a grave issue that you feel following our policies in accordance with hackers is an issue, dropbox it.

Understand. It' is no ones JOB. No one gets paid to do this, if you have an Issue dropbox it, if admins don't reply or you have any issue with any admin or they way things are being done, dropbox it.

Another note, something may have been looked into behind the doors that you cannot open. Admins communicate and maybe it has been determined that there is no issue. If it is as clear as you state then they would've been banned already.

Sorry if this is a "waste of your time" but if there is an issue the dropbox is the quickest solution even quicker than posting in this public forum like Ric stated.

I seen you around Ssick, I play dust 2 quite often so if you see me on and got any concern about a player hacking while we play, message me and I take a look at them.

As an admin who plays in the Dust2 server I can see where you are coming from. We do have players that come in and have high KDRs or who seem to know where people are at that come off as "wall-hackers" that are constant called out for hacking. As soon as someone brings it to my attention I try my best to watch the player be it recording a demo or just observing for a couple rounds. Most of the time, it's one false claim and others start badgering this player and they leave.
It's easy to call someone a hacker who is very good at the game, just as it's easy to call someone a noob who just started playing. Most of the time, the other admins who are on, talk behind the scenes about someone who is fishy or just seems to be having all the luck that game. Only advice I can give, and which is what you do is PM us through admin chat and not make it public that you think someone is hacking and let he admins watch him, or go spec yourself and record a demo and submit one. You can always try and help the admins out by telling others who are using public chat to call someone out to just PM the admins and let them handle it instead of alerting a possible hacker and letting them toggle.
Just because someone has a high KDR doesn't always mean they are hacking. If they play on the server as much as I do, they can tell you where specific players like to sit or hide because they can remember their tendencies. I do this especially with a lot of the regulars.
