Explanation

Guys (and I guess I mean the Council or whoever is in charge of making decisions regarding promotions):

To my shock, I found out that I was promoted to eG. Prince Abu has been telling me repeatedely in game that I had been promoted and I kept telling him that he was mistaken, that he was mixing me up with Mad Scotsman, etc. There was no way that I could have been promoted - I had only been here about a month, I haven't participated in any real events, hadn't gone to the admin meetings as an =e=; in other words I was still a rookie and a noob.

So tonight I checked where he told me to look and I find my name on the list. This has to be a mistake or an oversight. This doesn't really make sense to me that I would be promoted, especially since I think there has to be a number of people who have been here longer.

Can someone clear this up?

I'm not speaking for Council, but I think it's not about how long you've been here, it's how much maturity and leadership you have shown in your time here. So, congrats on your promotion!

Nemo is right. It's about being seen in the server acting mature and like a team player. I recommended you to council as someone that deserves to be promoted. It wasn't because I like you better than any other e in the clan, but because I'd been in game with you a few times and you were acting mature and being a team player. I thought you deserved a shot at being an admin. Sometimes getting promoted is just as easy as being in the right place at the right time and acting like you are supposed to.

I'm not going to make any speculation on how the Council makes promotions for fear of ranting and saying bad things about people without meaning to. All I can say is I've been an e since February 1st, have played 5 days (HLstats time) on our servers, have attended two admin seminars, and have reported multiple users via request ban. I am also the only e ranger.

Sorry if this comes across as a complaint, I didn't mean for it to sound that way.
