So lately the server has had some, so to speak Rules.. that are not in the rule book. With that it mind I have seen

- You cant do a activity more then once
-Freeday if the cells open before orders
-On freedays you must be activlty with the t's
-Cant give ST 2 times in a row
-Only 1 Lr (SOME ADMINS ENFORCE THIS)
-and a few more that were that game stopping.
So i said something to RDK about this and he said Admins hold the right to take any action deemed necessary in order to maintain server stability.Which is in the rules yes. But how are we expose to know those rules before admins say it, They tend to kill the player and then say why. Just a moment ago we did Station With 10 players and 4 died on 4 corners. Green asked if he can do it again, i said yes because its not invading the 66% Rule, Rdk said no and said he can only do 1 activity per round, which was a rule not in the book, This is confusing me and a lot of players, so these things should not continue to happen since it can just lead to less players on the server since were enforcing rules that are not in the rules. Thanks

I got revoked CT for 3 Rounds because I followed the rules of only 1 lr and i get punished for it

-Freeday if the cells open before orders
This only lasts until warden is taken and order is established.

-On freedays you must be activlty with the t's
From the jail rulebook:
Below is what you should expect when playing as a Guard:
Being with, escorting, and controlling prisoners.

-Only 1 Lr (SOME ADMINS ENFORCE THIS)
From the rulebook: In the Prisoner's last request, the Prisoner forces remaining Guards to participate in games of the Prisoner's choosing.
implying multiple LRs are allowed.

- You cant do a activity more then once
-Cant give ST 2 times in a row
These 2 are the only ones not explicitly written in the rules and require some common sense to keep the game fun and fair for everyone.
Do not negatively interfere with Jail gameplay. ie; intentional/frequent freekilling, mic spamming, abusing Prisoners, etc.

Giving the same person st every round just to play favorites (assuming they were never freekilled or gave up a gun or something) doesn't seem fair to everyone else, and games were generally kept to once per round to get wardens to explore the map and do different things. It's no fun to play the same game again because it didn't random in your favor.

Jail is a very complex environment. Please understand that everyone admins differently and everyone interprets the rulebook differently. While we strive for a stress-free Jail environment, situations like the ones you describe can be very frustrating. This question is better suited for Dot and his team for an official review and decision.

We appreciate your patience and thanks for supporting our Jail server! =)

Going to clarify some of these for you.

- Games that can be done in a tournament style competition are ok. Such as a Simpson's Shoot'em Up tournament on Canyon would be allowed. However, doing box game over and over again is not.

- If no orders are given then the prisoners can do what they want with the exceptions of being in auto wants and trying to kill guards. If a warden hasn't been picked and someone takes warden and gives orders, the prisoners have to follow then. If someone has taken warden and doesn't give orders, that would be w/r/k/b,

- You must be within view of the Ts at all times, even during free days.

- Admins are given the discretion on whether or not someone is getting ST too many times. Generally speaking giving it twice in a row is sketchy, but not in itself breaking the rule. However, too many times and an admin may make a choice to say no to an ST, if given to many times.

- As long as it is done quickly, they can do multiple LRs.

Yes, this would be correct on RDK's part. Doing the four corners game multiple times in a round is detrimental to jail game play because it abuses prisoners. Playing a game that is completely based on luck will discourage players remaining on the server because they will have to wait to play another game. We want to encourage players growth and ability through games that take skill.

If you are trying to research every single rule then you are out of luck.

"Rules may be changed by CS Leadership at their discretion without any notice at all. This is a guide, please use common sense when it comes to interpretation of this rulebook."

We aren't going to have rules on every single little thing. This is why we allow Admins the right to take any action deemed necessary in order to maintain server stability. If we had a 50 page rule book then no one would read it and lead to less players on the server.

If you have any more questions I'll happily answer them.

Then how is it fair to enforce things that are NOT in the rules, In the teamspeak and getting revoked for it, we cant do anything about that. Thats not fair at all, since something that isn't in the rulebook was enforced and a player was revoked. How are we meant to know what NOT TO DO. This is confusing the most of us in the teamspeak and the players on the server.

It's not fair to enforce things that are not in the rules. Please understand that we are not all perfect, admins included. Again, Jail is very complex and confusion is imminent. We always want a welcoming environment for everyone. You have a right to challenge a decision in private. The medium for this would be our Dropbox.

Admins have final say in server.

Yes, it is unfair for an admin to revoke for an "unwritten rule." Please PM me with an admins that do this and I'll sit down with them and talk with them.

No matter the community or server or anything, no one should be restricted, nor revoked or anything for following the rules 100% and still getting punished for a rule thats NOT THEIR, hands down thats is out right wrong and just plain stupid. And this stuff happends, all... the time.. Please just keep your staff updated on this

Just going to say, "Admins hold the right to take any action deemed necessary in order to maintain server stability." is in the rule book. THIS MEANS that if you are PM'd or asked by an admin not to do something or asked to stop doing something, then you do. Do not start off on your little rant saying "It's not in the rule book can you Copy and paste the EXACT rule from the book" since it's not there and we know what works well on the server and what the majority of people know therefore some people may ask you not to take certain actions, this is why they will ask you not to do something before revoking you.

Also understand that we're not paid to do this and when you threaten an admin of their position because they're asking simply to not do something that may not be written isn't right. If you really want to know every specific rules then you're not going too since it's all based on the situation and circumstances that surround it. Also if you notice someone do 1 thing wrong as warden etc do not start a riot because you know all of the written rules, since they may not and the admins will deal with it, just because you haven't heard or seen a warning doesn't mean they haven't been dealt with.

Jail is one of the most prosperous yet the most controversial servers in eGO CS:GO. Even though i have a heck ton of fun playing on it daily, the whole case by case instance of one rule may apply in this situation , but not apply in another and people getting revoked/kicked for it can be frustrating for both the players and admins who have to deal with it. Frankly i think any vague violation of server rules should be discussed with the offender before any action against them is take even if they have been warned. I know you should be at least read-up on the server rules, but these so called unwritten rules have caused enough strife that they should at least be handled so that people can learn and continue to have fun on the server.

This doesn't really need any more discussion. You should consider using our Dropbox if you have any more issues regarding gameplay on our servers so Leadership can give you a definitive decision.

Thank you Ric! He is right, this does not need any more discussion. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please direct them to the dropbox.
