I see the reputation points reset for whatever reason, I think we should reset everyone on DoD. The whole lasagna, just wipe it clean and start fresh. Its horrible that the point system is how it is and pretty much forces the mg camping of high point players but if everyone was at zero again we would have a sick race to see who gets high points first. On top of that I think a lot of these people camping in US army spawn with an mg or vice versa would actually move around and like, play the game. It could allow people to make new enemies and friends and probably bring out a new crowd. Could even do it in seasons kinda like diablo 2 which still has people playing it especially at the beginning of the reset.

Honestly I don't want a reset, look at what I've accomplished. I started playing here 2 or 3 years ago never did I think I'd get so far into the top 100, some of these people are insane good. But then you think about how exciting it may be too.

Just a thought.

Honestly I don't think this is a good idea, I'm not sure if the points are resetted. It could be a bugg. ( We had this before )
Now people are already angry that they have no points at this moment. I think a reset will only raise more anger
As you have already mentioned above, people do not want a reset, some people have been playing on our servers for years to archieve the points/kills/reps they have now.
New people or people with a low number of points have indeed a challenge, but this only makes it exciting for them to play.

god I hope he would feel liberated, man I don't think you know the struggle when your at 50 k points. Ill go 24 and 8 and be -15 points. Or ill go on a streak and kill 8 people = 16 points usually and then get killed by someone under 30 k and lose -15 so I gain 1 point, for 8 kills. What does this result in? Jih being in the base 100% of the time. Let the man go out and explore once and while.

I would just love to see vagabond get spanked off the top.

You can only reach 50k points if your kd ratio is high or just made allot of kills, so players with 50k points should be able to make points. jih still makes points, and that is just because he plays smart.

I thought points and reputation are reset if you don't play for a period on eGO servers. Don't know the time period.

You have to understand this goes into a personal matter for me in the sense that when I started playing I hated these guys who just machine gunned all day long. Like great its fun to pick it up every now and again, and I do and its so freakin easy 2-3 hits someone is dead all you have to do is plant the sucker and its over with. So when I started noticing I as a player who constantly played for the losing side, always tried to capture flags, and was just me and my little assault class getting these giant long kill streaks that got me these points. I said to myself I'm never going to sacrifice having fun and wasting people for sitting back and trying to score points. I still don't to this day I try and complete the objective as well as keep my points up but it was just a goal I set, for example I remember when I first met www123. Senior 1shot or mg COTY, I would tell him every game I'm going to pass your punk self and when it happens I own you. And I did pass him hes still back there at 48k doing his little mg routine and now we BS with each other trying to out do one another. Guy even gave me an !up this morning out of no where.

I guess what I'm saying was it was a self goal of mine to surpass all these vagabonds and Jih's but I just cant do it when Jih is back at base getting the same 20 kills Im getting problem being I get one shot'd from some new guy with 5k points there goes all the work I did. It would be nice to start on equal ground, points were suppose to make the game challenging instead they just made people sit in their bases. Kinda see where I'm coming from on the reset thing, level the playing field if we had a reset and Jih wanted to camp in the base good for him I'll get way more kills on the front lines and Ill stay top 10 % while still keeping to my code.

We are not planning on resetting the server points any time soon.

I have them turned off, but I check them often. I hate the feeling of getting kill streaks erased by one new player. I take personal pride in the amount of points I have accrued. I check /session all the time to see my kdr, headshots, and points. Having said that, however, I have never let it dictate to me how I play. I have the playstyle of pushing forward, get as far as I can get, take as many flags as I can, and when I die, do it all over again. That is not a good recipe for keeping points. Getting them, certainly, but not keeping them. I mean, look at my signature at the bottom of this post. I have BUNCHES of kills, and slightly less deaths, and all for 45k points lol!

I dont play for the points, I play for the love of the game, but I DO pay attention to them. If it were just for points or score, I would not have over 7,000 hours of DoDS

They will be reset at some point, and at that time, I will begin the journey again. In the mean time, just think of all the people that take 15 points each kill, eventually they will have enough points that when you next kill them, it will be more even. I try not to get mad anymore at the point vampires, that just shows me that we are getting new fresh meat to the server, and if they take 150 points from me in an hour, they will certainly come back and try again. I guess thats the silver lining.

I feel you ! checking it also all the time its not that i really care about my kd or points, but i like to check my inprovements, The only frustrating in dod is that you get killed by thompsons that are on their belly, lost 250 points in less than 7,5 minute in our donner server because of that.

im top 10 player right now and i recently discovered there is a rank

just play for have fun, like Racing said, i saw lot of hard skill players in 30k points (with the best 1 vs 1 shooting)

Stay back waiting for shot when your team have 4 flags just for make points its really boring in my opinion. You can be aggresive MG, crazy-suicide MG, flagger Mg or boring MG

btw dont worry about points 303, you are one of the best players i've seen. i'm really angry when i must look for 303 in my base -.-
