Tech Help Monitors

So I'm working on a PC build & I need some help picking out monitors. :thumbup:
I was originally thinking of 3 144hz ASUS monitors but I've since learned I cant run 3 144hz screens on a single GTX 980 ti lol :laugh:

So here is where I need help:
What are some good monitors that you guys actually use &/or would recommend that I could actually run? I don't even know where to start with monitors so any & all help is much appreciated.
Only requirements are: 1920x1080, 24inch, & black.

I was thinking maybe getting 1 144hz monitor & 2 of these.
Would different hz's & refresh rates be an issue when playing across all 3 of them? Would I even be able to run 1 144hz & 2 60hz screens together with 1 GTX 980 ti? Should I just get 3 60hz monitors?

Most of the bad reviews are people trying to push 4k @60hz on HDMI and complaining when it only works at 30hz via HDMI. It comes with a display port cable too so you dont have to worry about buying one

Ya I'm trying to find 3 (three) monitors. Not 1 (one) 4k one. lol. If I was going for a single monitor I'd get 4k though.

I have a 27in Asus @ 144hz and a 24in Samsung @60z both 1080p. I'm not sure how that would work trying to run all three while gaming if you're using them all to display the game. I use my 144hz for BF and the 60 for TS3 or music or something. The refresh rate has little to no impact on your FPS and card load. I would think you could at least run two 1080p monitors with a 980ti. If I were you I would run dual 144hz @1080p.

Why would run dual 144 hz? If you were to play games extended with dual monitors, you screen is going to spit in the middle, and that's going to awkward to play with.

I will only ever game on 1 of the monitors as the 2nd is for other things (TS, Web browser, whatever). I'm assuming I can still get decent frame rates and FPS with a Single graphics card. The reason I want the same monitors is for consistency is the look and feel.

I would advise agaist that. You will only notice the differance between 60-120Hz is when you gaming on it. If you just gonna buy 120Hz for Web browser and etc. You will be wasting you money since browser dont run 120Hz as far as I know.

I understand. But are the two monitor's refresh rates going to make them 'look different'. I spend a lot of time in front of the computer (not gaming, but for work as well) and need a uniform look at feel.

If thats what Important for you then, go for it. Just letting you know that you will buying a 120Hz monitor that will be running application only capable of running at 60Hz. 60 Hz application running at 120Hz monitor vs 60Hz application running on 60Hz monitor will look the same to you. The only time you will notice the differance is when an application is actually running at 60Hz vs 120Hz.

No, I totally understand the difference. (and the money 'waste') I've never seen a 60hz next to a 144hz (or 120) . I do know I've had different manufacturers monitors at work, and the colors were off by a few shades. That was enough to cause me eye strain over time. I'm wondering if the refresh rates would cause issues similar to that.

So forget the waste, I just want to make sure performance-wise I could run dual-120 or 144hz monitor at 1960x1080 with a single video card (likely a 980 or 980ti, maybe a 970).

I wouldn't, but if someone is dead set on dual screen that would be the way to go...

980ti is capable of running one application 144Hz(such as a game), but if just using it for desktop application yes the 980ti can support 2 144Hz monitor, since most desktop application runs @ either 30Hz or 60Hz.

So I was thinking of getting 3 of these for my 3 screen set up. I cant really find anything that has a better response time and is 60Hz @1920x1080 sadly.

Anyone know of anything that might be better than these for a 3 screen set up? I want to play across all 3 of them and I'm not buying 3 980tis to run 3 144Hzs at once lol!
Would anyone on here actually happen to have one or more of these monitors perchance?
