The warpath community

Yeah sadly.. I think we were more worried about the join time rather than thinking of the consequences, while its easier to get in, its lead to a break down of the ability to coordinate the team. Too many players doing their own thing and we have nothing but stalemates on our hands.. I have to say guys this sucks.. what a shame.. put it back to 24.. quick

its chaos incarnate !

Unless we are just being impatient... its been on 32 slots before.

Maybe because we had alot of stalemates tonight... anyway, we'll keep playing warpath and see how it goes.

I think we need to switch it back. I would much rather have the longer wait times then the degraded game/team play that 32 players has had.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems to me that the Warpath community has got the best camaraderie than all the other servers in general.

Everytime i log on warpath, i always find at least 50% regulars, most of them with microphones. I'll tell you warpath is a more team-spirit oriented map than others: Because people are always within eye sight, instead of being scattered in different parts of the map. It has that bottleneck effect that makes you work together in order to advance. It is like constant push and constant defending your point because the smallest mistake, and you can go back a notch or two.

Warpath is like we live 12 in the same appartement, it can be crowded and we get to watch each others play and learn tricks from each others because it is that kinda of map where you can teach a new player how to play like a pro.

I'M a Warpath Doctor, and my name is Captain Mental. I dare anybody to come and challenge me in Warpath. I'm pumped cause i know the warpath people are the best.

:)

It's pointless to play warpath without teamwork. And even with good teamwork it's incredibly hard for one side to win if the teams are not extremely lopsided.

Warpath is my all time favorite and main server to play on. It is the best, most challenging, (and i get the most hlstat points there haha)

The people are great and i just cant get enough of the lovely place.

See you all there!

I am going to have to agree with the lot here. I was very excited when the 32 came on that I instantly left my game to go play. Didn't get filled up but had some fun with some other people in the mean time.

But yes, it seems the games are going WAY too slow and depend more on spamming. It also gets bottle necked to the point where we are just making spear heads for two seconds and they pushed back by the force of the people. It is more kills for me as Demoman but it is in bad health for my medic now. I used to be able to run through the entire middle with my medic still on my back. :( As soon as the urber is over, he is done for and I, a few seconds later. Poor medic.

I'll wait it out a bit before wanting to change it back though and see if it balances.

Not to mention it is absolutely impossible to snipe when you're defending the last point, there are so flippin many people in that little hole that even if you did shoot you'd hit your own players 75% of the time anyway

I kinda miss 24-player Warpath. Maybe we should have gone for 2x24, rather than 1x32.

I would love to have two 24 slot servers instead of one 32 slot warpath. It's not as much fun as I expected it to be for all the reasons previously cited.

What about changing the map to version 2? I think I read that it adds less time to the caps and makes ramps to speed up the travel time to certain areas. If anything it will reduce the time to get to a stalemate and then the teams get a fresh start to try a good pushing strategy (16 scouts?). In the end, playing as a medic is a lot more fun for me in the 32 version because there are more patients to heal.

Yeah, I played warpath_final its okay, but its just not the same as the original warpath. It would be cool to have that for another server though. Though warpath I always will have as my family, and everyone knows who I'm talking about :)

i would have suggested the 2x24 slots, but i didnt know if any one would be willing to have it so.

I'll go with it, Kolak. Warpath is great, but if you can't even get in to play, what's the use? Instead of adding an extra 8 players, maybe the new Gamerail server could split time between Warpath and 2fort...?

I Love Warpath and can play on it for hours. And all the people in there are great :) You guys are the best.

Warpath is great, but sometimes it can be hectic. Spies have to work a lot since there isn't that much room among the whizzing bullets and explosives to maneuver. But, I found that the backstabs I did get were very rewarding. Being a medic is great since you get to be on the front lines, and medics are especially useful because it allows heavies and soldiers to be the most effective. Especially in taking out those sentries. Once there was a group of four medics healing each other and working to save everyone on the front lines. We survived (or at least I did) for a decent amount of time. Seeing this level of teamwork and communication is very rewarding to me.

I was playing on warpath yesterday and I did meet some very nice people. Some were in the clan, some were not. There was this one guy that wasn't in the clan who was a sniper and requested an uber. Just for the fun of it, I ubered him and he ran out there with his machete. It was pretty funny even though in the future I recommend medics using their ubers on heavies, soldiers, and pyros.

And yes, I too will accept your challenge.

I'm also gonna say that I'm not that fond of new 32 server. I know i stated that i missed the 32 server however, it just isn't as fun. Due to all the previous points mentioned. The other thing i noticed is that there seems to be less mic chatter now. At least with the teams I've been on. Don't know if it is at all possible but the 2x24 sounds good, or bumping it down to 28.
