Hello all,

It's been quite some time since you've seen me here on the forums. However, I come bearing unfortunate news.

One of our fellow veteran Counter Strike members, Bumble-Bee, passed away last night in a tragic car accident. He was 24 years old. He is survived by a loving family, the mother of his children, Chelsea, and two beautiful kids - Leigha, 5, and Landyn, 2.

Bumble-Bee, or Joe, was a prominent member in eGO's competitive scene a few years ago, and has remained loyal to the community ever since. Joining in 2009, Bumble-Bee has left an unforgettable mark on many of us throughout the years, whether through scrims, events, or contests. Heck, he might have even recruited a few of you to join EdgeGamers.

I started a GoFundMe campaign to share within the EdgeGamers community exclusively, to surprise his entire family and show them that he has had many friendships over the course of his gaming career. I encourage you to consider making a donation to the campaign, as all of the money will be donated to his family, to help cover some of the impending costs. If there is any money left over from the campaign, it will be used to start a fund for his two children.

If you decide to be gracious enough to leave a donation, I also encourage you to consider commenting on the page with one of your fondest memories with Bumble-Bee.

He was one of, if not, my best friend here in eGO, and I have spent a large majority of my life gaming with him, while never actually meeting him in person. I spent a large portion of today in sadness, thinking about all the fun times I've played with Joe. However, now I'm focusing all of that sadness into positivity, trying to raise money for a good cause.

I'm not concerned about the total amount of money donated, if we happen to cross the $1,000 arbitrary goal, any additional donations will also be given to his family.

Thank you all for your time, and know that we all stand together in times like these.

R.I.P. Bumble-Bee

I remember him when we 10man all the time back in the day and he would always kick our asses. He was an awesome CS:S player. I hate to see him go. RIP Bumble Bee

I didn't talk to him much, but I do remember him kicking my butt a lot on source. Rest in Peace.

I had a lot of great experiences with Bee on Source and he was one of my good friends for a couple of years. It is a shame we have not spoken in a long while, and now we will never have the chance again.

Rest in peace.

I never knew Bumble Bee, but my heart and prayers go out to his family, and I hope that a good amount of money is raised to support the cause of helping his family with the costs. R.I.P. Bumble Bee.

I remember playing on office and night fever with him. It is going to be sad to know that he isn't here anymore, really helped me out when I was a younger lad. I hope his family can feel some solace in these dark times for them. R.I.P. Bumble

I remember all the good memories back from Source, R.I.P. old friend :C

This is extremely hard to hear. I can remember numerous CS:S scrims that we have done together, or even the fun late night Highschool times he would be on. What a fun loving and great man having to pass from this world and into the next.

You will be missed Bumble Bee. I will be donating on Friday when I get my paycheck.

I personally never knew him but I am very sad to hear that a fellow member of this community has passed. R.I.P. Bumble-Bee.

Would see and play with or against him from time to time on the Italy server way back in the days(when I was a pub). It's hard to hear that he passed away. You will be missed Bumble-Bee

Rest in Peace

I remember playing with Bumble Bee back on source. We talked a few times and scrimmed a couple times together. He was a great player and a good guy to talk to. It's a shame I didn't get to know him better.

Rest in peace, Bumble. You left your legacy with us and we'll keep the torch burning.

Didn't know Bee the greatest, except that he liked that dirty Michigan state team. Nah, but seriously Bee was a great guy to know, so very sad so see him no longer with us, wish we had more time :( Gonna miss you Bee

Sorry to hear about the lost of your dear friend and very sad news to hear about a ego member passing away.

Rest in Peace Bumblebee

I didnt know him but any passing is certainly tragic. My sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. RIP Bumble Bee

Very sad, more so when children are impacted. Goes to show you the bonds you share even without meeting someone face to face. I didn't know him well but played with him long enough to know he was one of the good guys who didn't treat others wrongfully. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
