Battlefield 4 I have an idea about obvious hackers

I think of them the way I think of spree killers. They are anti social and they seek attention. Why else would someone go in a server and do what people like this do?

Let's not give them the attention they seek. I know you can't stop 60+ people from all over the world from talking in chat, people that have no idea what goes in here but maybe something in the server messages can be added and the community as a whole can adopt this approach.

Stated in the rules is actually no hacking accusations against players for this very reason. We do enforce it when we can(I hope all of us do) for this very reason.

Why else would someone go in a server and do what people like this do?

There are various reasons why people do this. The general reasons is that they have acquired hacks and they are there to show them off, test them, or to induce bragging rights. Others are there simply to empty a game server or to disrupt the reputation of the game to the extent that players move on to others without looking back. When is the last time someone loaded up CoD 4 or MW? It's been a while; people refuse to play it online because you'll end up in a lobby/game with a bunch of hackers. Who wants that? I've known of reports where one community hires hackers from the lowest depths of the internet to "attack" a rival communities servers so they gain popularity. It's happened with BF2, It's happened with CS:S, and yes, it's happened with BF4.

With the introduction of Game Time, it's essentially given the hacking/scripting community an unlimited test bed to try out the hacks. They sign up for an account, install/run the hacks/scripts, and go to town. What do they lose if they get caught? A free account. Register a new one with a new email account and they are good to go. I've also read upon hacks where a script can be run, it changes just enough information to make the head servers think it's a new account. Hell, there are hacks that show you where the dogtags are for the Phantom bow. With the game being so loose with its code, it's not surprising what the hacking/scripting communities are discovering they can do to obtain an unfair advantage to the game. You name it, there's probably a hack for it in BF4.

Some test the accounts to see how long they have until they are caught. If they are not caught, then they usually sell them to players so they can also have in on the fun. However, most hacks, being free, are usually caught within days time. And, with the introduction of so many server-side services that run alongside a BF4 server (BF4DB, GameMe, iStats, FF, etc) those that are well educated know how to hack and stay under the radar for weeks if not months.

So, what is the end result? Server communities, such as eGO, CMW, ADK, TBG, just to name a few, have to enlist extra help to diagnose a possible hack. And, when a low level player is absolutely owning in a server, what is your first prognosis; a hacker, a player on a lucky streak, duplicate account? They have us chasing our tails until we throw up. Because we refuse to allow BF4 to carry on that reputation of being riddled with hackers and cheaters. The only thing that the server admins can do is systematically ban them and the only thing that the players can do is realize that this is an endless battle and be patient while all players deal with them. Swaying from this goal is allowing them to win without really trying, just like when they "play" the game.

A name like that coming into the servers is an instant ban. As server admins, we should have the ability to kick any player without having to copy their name into a notepad document to get the proper phonetics and spelling. Not to mention that that player's name formation is synonymous with a well known Game Time hacker. And, if it was a legit player, oh well. Shouldn't have trolled the server.

Honestly that's going a bit to far Tuna. Some names, possibly and most likely yes. Others though no. For example we have a player that plays on lockers now with the name Heisenberg. Just because his name is Heisenberg doesn't mean you should kick him as soon as you see him just because we had a previous player with the same name that was banned. Can't think bad of every player with a strange name since there are people with names like, "I0IIIII0I" that play. Easiest thing to do for a player in the game if they feel someone is cheating is to report it using /ad.

That's not what I'm saying at all. If we had a player that hacked named Heisenberg, it doesn't mean that we should kick anything *Heisenberg*. And yes, I'm aware that there are a few players that have 111's and O's and 0's in their name. I'm strictly addressing the whole Il|0O0|O0|I|l players. The reputation of that name had preceded them, so why would a normal player want to be associated by a commonly used hacking name? Only to troll the servers and our ability to address/kick the player if the situation arises. Besides, I've talked to Alex about it and he agrees. Luckily, that rule has not had to been enforced.

That player was killing people without seeing them. That was straight up snap - to aiming there. And then to end the streak by unloading rounds into the ceiling is a known "hacker" trick to ease up on accuracy. This is a battle and we at eGO need to be on top of it as much as possible without breaking the "Game First Admin Second" rule. I will be able to join that fight when I get my new potato and will be able to record, etc.

You can ban hackers forever and not get rid of them. Every single modern game going back as far as Delta Force 2 I remember there being someone who has to cheat to say "Hey! Look at me!" I used to get so angry and now that I'm older and wiser I just move on to another server or wait until they are gone which is usually bed time for them during school weeks, because their all little kids with chips on their shoulders or they got bullied and need an outlet since they have convinced themselves they are worthless.

I went on a forum of hacks for BF4 just to see what these hacks actually do and they're retarded and obvious as heck, i saw a thread with thousands of views and more than 5k replies of people showing their interest. lol

So i can say that maybe 50% of people in bf4 for origin hacks?

Pubbers and even members need to use the /ad command to notify admin in game or on TS and not announce it to the entire game that they are hacking. Let an admin look into it, if it's legit then it will be handled according to eGO policy.
