Just after i fixed the whole BF4 quit working problem now I get the error: you have lost connection to the server, its so annoying!!! Anyone know how to reduce the times you get it?

Hey MissCrowley!!! Last night the Shanghai server looked like it went down at around midnight pacific time. If that's the server you were on, most likely that's why you got the error. Basically the error your getting is saying something between your connection and the server went out.... maybe the server, maybe your internet, maybe someone next door to you stuck their cable tv wire into an electrical outlet.... who knows.... There's not much you can do about it other than to hope your internet connection stays more stable.

Happy Holidays!!!

You have lost connection to the server. Please try again later.

Yeah, it seems it would be something server side. Of it was something local, it may say something like "check to see if port something is open".

Also, what Binary said.

Unplug your modem and wait 30 full seconds before plugging it back in... do this at least once a week.

also be sure to restart your PC at least once every 24 hours.

Sometimes data gets "jammed up", and needs to be released.

It's because you're using TeamSpeak concurrently with the game, which is widely recognized as a peer-to-peer appllication, and seems to interfere with Battlefield 4. That is why I am rarely on TeamSpeak as often as I am on the =(eGO)= servers.

Make sure all your firewall UDP/TCP ports are open for BF4

If that fails run PB install / Fix on BF4 even though no PB errors

Live on TS and have never had a connection issue because of it, had one for about a month though, when they did a patch, back before I had premium

Actually the thing is some firewalls block teamspeak, but I haven't had any problems with it at all for weeks.

I run Smart Port Forwarding in order to use both computers on my network for BF4 at the same time. I learned about it from this turorial:

Maybe it'll help your problem.
