Yup, the annual Payday Christmas heist will be dropping this Thursday (if typical release schedules are anything to go by) for all our holiday merrymaking. Previous ones have ranged from the fairly lackluster (finding random packages on certain maps which would net you a Santa mask in PD:TH) to the fairly frantic events of last year when we got Vlad's cousin out of that little drunken Santa incident (not to mention the GO Bank heist during the Charlie Christmas event 2 years ago). At bare minimum it should be interesting to see what we get.

Pfft, I misread the post and thought it'd be a 3 day release site like normal. Instead it's just a launch day one:

Only 2 masks this year, but they're kind of nifty (reindeer antlers with a red nose and elf ears with a Christmas-y elf hat), and both are obtained via achievements (get ready to farm, that pair of antlers is going to require 100 'present' loot bags to obtain!). The gist of this year's map is fairly similar to last year's with one big twist: You raid "Santa's Workshop", or at least the branch that's conveniently located in downtown D.C., and use slave elf-labor to cook presents full of coke. Oh, did I forget the Krampuses trying to recruit your elf work force for themselves? They dressed themselves up to look like cops, but we see through that...

Also there's another of those safe events where you gather 'round the Christmas safe in the back yard of the workshop and fight it out for 2 minutes.

Also included are the random bug fixes, voice pack additions, a few more songs added to the B-Sides and vanilla soundtracks, and a new Simon Viklund in the form of a Pimped Out Getaway.
