Battlefield 4 New 60HZ server rotation

Here are some of the maps i like Propaganda,operation outbreak,dragon valley,caspian border,lost islands,pearl market.

If we are going with this, ideally we should go with vanilla maps and free dlc maps.Having DLC in the rotation will limit your traffic. However, those who wish to have DLC maps in server better be willing to play in the server everyday, as previously we had DLC only server but not many people were seeding it. As a result, we don't have a server with multiple DLCs

It's not that difficult to have a server with full DLCs anymore.

BF4 released in 2013, and BFH was a flop; so the community within the game is quite large.

Example, this server has no trouble in populating with full DLCs (even the new DLCs)

Also, for the record, I offered to fully donate a 60hz server less than 2 weeks ago to eGO and was either prompted with a "no", or "you can pay for it, but must relinquish all control over to eGO".

40hz is good in between for both ends I think low and high.

I would say leave the snow map out it is brutal to navigate with craft and sniper heaven.

The TDM is where it comes into play messing the server pop. up it seems from what I been looking at all the servers running this type and have for most part through series didn't do so well. Metro is a example it is a struggle unless clan is packed in yet gets full but doesn't stay up too long compared to the rest of the setups except the same on Event server you can watch it just die going from CQ to TDM.

I would also make all CQ large packed with the best vehicle maps except different ones running on current servers except 1 or 2.

In my days running servers and seems like still most servers going from best vehicle maps in CQ large to any other Inf. mode TDM, CTF, etc just don't keep running good and are hard to start and keep up (Metro for Example I know it is old and ran in the dirt map already hit TDM swap and falls unless packed with clan members.

Just feedback.

I'm speaking from experience, communities that have a DLC servers prior to all the expansions released will have no problem filling their servers since they already have a following. The issue is trying to have new DLC server when you have no following, when their is handful of DLC only servers already existing. Plus the lack of players not willing to seed the server when the server is at its infant stage. Also, not everyone has premium. I'm giving you a guys heads up and what to expect. We have tried this setup in bf3 and bf4 after final stand DLC was realized. Both those servers failed due to these two reasons I mentioned above. Maybe we will have better luck if all players in room5 were to willing to put effort on filling this server.

Is my technical assumption right?

60Hz = New Data every 16,67ms (1000ms/60) since Ping is the time in ms for both directions you will need at least a Ping of 33,34ms (2x16,67ms) - or better (lower) - to get the full benefit of that server. (EDIT: Ofcourse... your PC has to be able to do 60FPS as well...)

Hey Everyone! Thought I might as well chime in with my opinion as well. Our first priority on any new server will be to make sure we are highly ranked, and maintain a full server at all times. The ideal way to do that is to go with somewhat vanilla maps (Shanghai, Lockers, etc....). My recommendation would be to start out INITIALLY with a few vanilla maps, and once we have become everyone's "Favorite" server (and maintain a 70-80% utilization rate), we should begin modifying the rotation little by little, removing one vanilla map at a time, and replacing it with a DLC map. This would be spread out over a few weeks to ensure the server remains full.

The maps to me are not important as much as keeping the servers full, nobody wants to play on an empty server.

All the best,

What about what we want to play? I thought it's about a gamers community and not being the top of some BS. Please link me to that philosophy.

BTW: Look at "SUPER@ [SiC] S3 Final Stand Conquest All" in Europe it's almost everytime full I check it. And it's just cycling the Final Stand DLC.

Crash, its my philosophy... just my humble opinion. My train of thought is that the game is fun regardless of the map, but nobody will play on a server by themselves. So lets make sure the server remains full as our FIRST priority, and the map selections as our SECOND priority. Just my thoughts.... but i'm completely comfortable with whatever the Advisors, Community Mangers, and Division Leaders choose, they have guided us well to this point, I have faith in the decision making abilities of the group. Just wanted to chime in as to what other considerations may come into play besides the map selection, and its impact..

Happy Holidays,

Map selection will play the number one role in keeping the server full , nobody will play maps that they dont want to. Regardless if we fill the server with members or not the map selection is what will keep the pubs coming back for more. We go through this every day with metro , but in its case its the mode selection that hurts it.

Hey Duce dont bother m8 they dont care what we think the communication in eGO is horrible it works one way not both i understood that today.

I am not picky and will not choose any of these maps, why don't u surprise me stranger? I'm just happy we have a higher tickrate!!! :D

Our communication on this matter was very clear. I told you that we would accept your payment for a server, but can't bring one up without owning it. Unless I'm wrong, you coordinated with toohightocomply and rented a server anyway. Raven and I made the call to test the 60hz waters with a server that we could control completely.

I suggest that we get a server filling team together and try to make this work. Anyone capable can connect when they go to sleep, work or whatever. Or, contact some pals and play until others join. I practice chopper flying. I don't care what map it is. It's about eGO, not me.

TBH high tick servers benefit most on CQC where the most shots are fired (compared to a large map with vehicles)...

Wizekraker nailed it and he's been around longer than me, so he's got the words of wisdom... when Hardline came out and we lost the DLC server (which i'm still mad about :bored:), many of us would attempt to seed the server daily... literally.. we'd get it going with like 30 players for a few hours (only like 30% of the time) and then bam, it'd reset again after midnight after all the eGO players left. it never took off on its own and we wasted countless hours(for many months) goofing off on Pearl Market having races or tripping each other on claymores trying to fill it. while yes the map shouldn't matter when you're playing with your friends, it really makes a difference because you learn people's strategies.

then after a while only a handful of us from Room 5 even tried anymore, everyone else just wanted to sit in Operation Lockers ranking up or getting easy kills. DLC servers are already established elsewhere with good followings, as are the Hardcore servers that we tried to fight for too. this kinda discussion should be a priority when BF5/BF2143 comes out, put feedback in with the BF leadership so the servers can be tweaked ASAP and hopefully start a good following for our servers. i think our intentions for Hardline were well placed with 4 servers, with different settings, the game itself was the problem.

i'd suggest trying to recruit people on the Metro server to join eGO, it'll help keep players on it that actually enjoy playing it. if ya'll need help i'm sure we could help by doing a PSC Invasion on it sometime soon, that'll give ya a few extra players to help fill it up when it's empty. I'd think Metro has a chance, people are enjoying the older maps from previous games. Metro never gets old in my book and is one of my favorite maps!
