To add to what Shifty has stated, In addition to the weekly events we have around 8:00 eastern, many of us play other games. Right now many people are playing Rocket League, Civ V, and Insurgency (Day of Infamy), oh an H1Z1! When you see eGO members leaving the server, it isn't because they don't like playing with new people and losing points, it is because there are so many games and so little time to play them all

Never worry about points again.
The points are pointless, ehuehue, but the stats can show you a good overview of a player. For example, I thought I would have been playing something like 60% Axis, but according to my profile it's actually the inverse of that mainly due to team balance and Allies generally having a harder time on Avalanche meaning the slots are usually open.

If you're desperate just use 'session' in-game and see a quick recap.

While I don't mind the point system in theory, after a while I was just frustrated at seeing it every kill or death.
