Valve Latest?

I have been out the loop some but is Valve in the process of releasing a new game anytime soon? Updating a previous one? Just curious.

I see. Idon't know if I am shocked or not but its hard to believe these guys have not kept this train moving. Explains the drop off for sure within the steam community. Yeh, the BF games the Tom clancys of the world are solid games but it was the games that Valve made that really started all of this online play. Just wondering why these guys didn't or haven't pushed harder for a new game or updated old ones. CS:GO is doing ok. Just seems to me that it's becoming a business within a game which turns me off and the changes they did with gameplay/server play..

Need to give ol Gabe a good kick lol that's if he even envolves himself in day to day operations anymore.

CS:GO is doing ok.

OK as in 500k concurrent users at most times. DOTA is thriving too

It's Valve. With them, no one knows what's going on, not even Valve themselves really.

Well after 12 years Marc Laidlaw the write of half-life retired, because valve kept pushing his idea of Half Life 3 to the side.

Hi, so I'm gonna admit I'm kind of frustrated with Valve after 12 years of silence and avoidance towards my (our) favorite game which would be Half-Life, so I went ahead and asked Marc to speak about it once and for all.

So don't expect half-life 3 for awhile

Last night I was reading and it appears that Valve thinks that if they release HL3 that it will affect the sales on other games across the board. At least that was one of the reasons. And that their focus is more on the community aspect of Steam. Using their resources to improve game experience as a whole instead of creating a new game. Plus you can go to Gabe's Twitter account and if I were a betting man from his responses, I just don't see them making it a priority anytime soon.

If you think about it, it kind of makes sense. Because the game would not be focused on multiplayer. Unless you do a HL3 Deathmatch which I am sure they would. But would players jump on board to play deathmatch again for Half-Life?

I dont know, I have mixed thoughts about the whole thing anyways. I did hear that the main character, if it were made, would not be Gordon so much as it wold be G-Man.

If they were smart, they would come out with a TF3.
