The CS:GO Jail Server is a role-playing server where you can select one of two roles: Prisoner (T) or Guard (CT). Playing on maps specifically designed for this game type, the prisoners will participate in a number of games and competitions as ordered by the guards; attempting to either become the last surviving prisoner or rebel against the guards with extreme violence and contempt. This rulebook will serve as a guide to participating in the Jail Server, and will serve to acquaint players with the structure of the game and acceptable behaviors.

Per the maps' design, prisoners will spawn in cells and are held there until the guards have organized and armed themselves. Guards spawn in the armory, and at round start equip themselves with weapons to maintain order. The guards will elect a warden who will organize round activities--directing prisoners and guards alike to play out activities of their choosing. Throughout the game, guards-primarily the warden, have use of their mic, mandatory for warden's orders. The prisoners are restricted to text communication to ensure everyone can hear the orders given.

Once the guards have organized themselves, the prisoners are released from their cells (either automatically or manually-map dependent) and receive instructions from the warden on where and how to assemble. Having successfully emptied the cells, the warden will instruct the prisoners to complete a variety of tasks designed to eliminate all but one prisoner as the round progresses-all the while maintaining order and preventing rebellion. Prisoners who fail to complete tasks assigned by the warden are executed, as are those who attack guards or fall short of mini-game benchmarks.

Once the guards have eliminated all but one Prisoner, the surviving Prisoner is given the ability to make a last request. In the Prisoner's last request, the Prisoner forces remaining Guards to participate in games of the Prisoner's choosing, within reason.

Prisoners

  • Follow warden's orders, or choose to rebel against them.
  • Rebelling against direct orders deems you as wanted, punished by death.
  • Prisoners are rebelling if they are seen in restricted areas such as armory, vents, elevated areas such as catwalks or other areas specified by the warden.
  • A vent is considered something that you may walk into or break, and has either a rebelling teleporter, see-through room, a passage, or gun behind it.
  • An auto-want/restricted area is always an auto-want, even on Freedays. The only exception is for the prisoner that has received a Last Request (LR)
  • Last prisoner is entitled to one Last Request which must be completed hastily.
  • If guards are placed in imminent danger during Last Request, one guard will not participate.
  • Last request void when prisoner is wanted.
  • If Prisoners are ordered to shift walk it is implied that this is the speed you should be moving at. This means that you may not do any other action to gain speed such as jumping. This will be considered rebelling.
  • A wanted prisoner may NOT be pardoned. They must be killed on sight.
  • As a T, you may look for loopholes in orders when appropriate. If you are basing your actions of these technicalities, end up being killed for them, and then begin to complain, you are in the wrong.

Warden

  • Apply for warden at the start of the round by typing !w.
  • Issue orders that prisoners must comply with.
  • Warden can not force prisoners to do something while they are in cells
  • Warden must use voice chat to give orders.
  • Be clear and non-conflicting.
  • Explain games when necessary. No cheating is implied for all games.
  • Move prisoners from cell area within 60 seconds after they have opened.

  • Warden may grant Special Treatment (ST). A prisoner may only get ST once per map.
    • Only 3 Ts may have ST simultaneously during a round.
  • Warden may grant a special day once every three rounds.
    • Map built-in special days still count against the ?per 3 rounds? rule.
  • Warden's orders still stand after death until new orders are given.
  • When playing a game not built into the map the following criteria must be met
    • The game must offer a fair start for all the Ts
    • The game must not have conflicting orders (ex: Must participate, but winners die)
    • The game must not force the Ts to rebel or go to autowants
    • The game must follow all other rules and may not include any banned items

Guards

  • Do not talk over the Warden
  • Be present and actively control prisoners at all times.
  • Follow and enforce the Warden's direct orders.
  • Be reasonable and issue warnings to prisoners when not in imminent danger.
  • Use voice chat to communicate with their team and effectively volunteer as warden when necessary. Guards who inhibit round progress due to the lack of a microphone will be asked to leave the team.
  • CTs should not be baiting. They should be using catwalks and prisoner restricted areas.
  • CTs are not allowed to pick up T weapons
  • Last guard must pursue and eliminate remaining prisoners.
  • Guards may not suicide to force a last guard situation.
  • Guards are not to break vents unless pursuing a T in vents. This rule is null with last guard.

  • One Warday per map
    • Can not be restricted to a confined space

      down remaining prisoners
    • Guards must have a scoreboard
advantage over Prisoners to call a
      Warday.
