WHAT THE HECK!!! e's are just as much a part of ego as everybody else. If you would take the time to have everybody set a password like they are supposed too we might not have spammers!! C'mon really!!!
You let everybody in who posts in your recruiting deal. You leave the vent information out in the open for spammers and troublemakers to get a hold of. And then you pretty much BAN all the e's off the server for doing what? Using the server for what it was intended?
I apologize for the rant but I will be open about this. Ban me if you want but I will say right off, you guys let me into the clan to be a part of it. And in being a part of this organization I have the right to speak my mind and contribute meaningfully to it as well. I think I have done so. But being frank here you are punishing the guys who don't spam because YOU don't take precautions on the server and the website to protect your Vent. There it is plain and simple.

Do you have any concept of how many e's we have? How many come and go on a weekly, no, daily basis? You put the reason up right there, "You let everybody in who posts in your recruiting deal." That very simple open door policy is why e's don't have admin, why they have no special privileges on the forums, and why the vent password starts at eG. We enforce strict rules on our servers, which for all the friends it makes us also makes quite a few enemies. It would not be difficult under current recruitment policies for someone who dislikes us to gain membership for the purpose of gaining the vent password. The options are bleak. Start screening recruitment, requiring sponsorship maybe? Or keep our current policies and have a password that changes every time the spammers get it?

Edit: Also, it should be noted that this isn't enforcing new rules- this is backtracking to the way things were before.
