There was already a major crash on the freeway in Massachusetts, one person that started the crash was playing and trying to catch Pikachu. Another driver part of the accident mentioned that he was also playing the game at the time.
I can see that there will be more instances like this later on and I think that they need to patch the game in order to get it to work properly. Pokemon are popping up in the street and places that are very dangerous.
I won't be playing the game all that much until they get the game more stable with Pokemon non popping up in places that can get someone fatally injured or killed. It is a fun game when it comes down to it but if it causing this on day one or a few days after release I am just going to wait.

That story is actually false, if you looked at the other stories you can clearly tell it's all made-up. However, I do agree on the other part. The app is new, they're still fixing things, of course. Hopefully in a few weeks or so most of this will be fixed.

My Droid Razr HD is crashing every time I select the starter Pokemon, I think it lacks the RAM/Graphical processing requirements. So unfortunately I cannot play until I get a new phone.
Oh ok thanks for letting me know. I did not think to look up if the site was legit or not. I did not think that it was fake so I just assumed without looking into it.
I think every 1 in 10 people have the app, that is just my guess but because of the popularity of the game and franchise it might be true. I will have to look into the popularity of the app. A lot of teens and young adults have already downloaded the app and it seems like it is going to be as popular for quite some time. I have it but I was not to into the games, I was the show for quite some time but not that much. I think I will play it occasionally.

Caught a Eevee and a Hypno while sitting at a Starbucks downtown today en route to the dump. Oddly enough there's a small church thing that's located inside an old retail store near the airport downtown that's apparently a landmark...
