Wierd thing just happened...

I got on a little while ago onto Steam.. and decided to try the CAVES server... never played it before... so I connect.. download the map file.. and get on. I get on a team (I think it was blue) and pick demo... played like 3-4 minutes and shot some grenades/spam, etc whatever in some alcove overlooking some track (shooting at another demo from the other team)... and then the round ends.. and teams get switched.

Then during setup.. I lay down some stickies at the "gate" for the other team.. and once it opens... an uber comes thru.. I click detonate.. of course they just carry on (that was dumb =)... and then I'm at the menu screen... with a msg I was "BANNED." I'm like "Eh??"

So I'm confused... The "reason" apparently was "General cheating/exploits?" Many of you know me... so I wonder if this was some wierd bizarre occurence... or mistaken identity. My stats are defintely not some of someone who cheats LOL!!!!

Just wondering what happened I guess...

Actually just spoke with Glitch (I think i killed the spelling of it) on Vent about it... I know what happened. Not being up on CP maps in general (except for Warpatch).. I apparently was shooting during setup... It's a NO NO guys... be warned.

Heh. I was playing that earlier and yeah, shooting through the gates is very tempting. I'd get 3~4 kills doing that till I got told to stop. I think an updated version with gates over the wholes of the tunnel should be made.
 
But see.. I wasn't even trying to kill anyone.. I just laid stickies down at the gate... but rules are rules. and I STILL didn't kill anyone...even after the gates opened LOL!!!
 
You know what? Because of this incident, I don't think people should be banned by certain things on that map. If you are putting down stickies in a certain spot, or trying to get a headshot, then yes, it deserves a ban. Otherwise, no.
 
Ya i remember playing on there when an admin told someone not to but hey new rules are always welcome as long as it doesn't make me have to run laps before i play a round. I didn't know about that rule before but its all good now and I will remember not to do that.

I should start making screenshots then. I've seen some members do it and not get banned for it, while others might do it their first time and be banned quite hastily.
