The Bullying DOD Admins of EGO

Hello, first off I'd like to address this post by stating that I've been a loyal on and off player to the EGO DOD:Source Chicago Avalanche server for over four years. Today for the first time, I was angrily confronted by an Admin of the server by the name of "Snoopy" his complaint consisted about changing my steam account name.

My steam account name "Spaceman Spliff" has been around for approximately four years, I have never received a complaint from any other EGO admin about anything during my enjoyable playing time on the DOD: Avalanche server.

However, this admin named 'Snoopy' randomly decided to boss me around, kicking me multiple times from the EGO: DOD Avalanche server, his excuse was: "No Drug References"

As I tried to calmly explain to admin Snoopy that my Steam Username is based off a "Calvin & Hobbs" Children's Sunday morning funny cartoon comic book character, Snoopy banned me for 10,000 minutes from the DOD Sever.

All I have to say is, Really EGO? These are the types of internet bullies you have running your severs at 4:30 in the morning (eastern time)? I am a rule abiding dedicated player to your Day of Defeat: Avalanche server.

I have thought about Donating multiple times. Now after I see how I have been treated by your staff and unnecessarily banned for having a reasonable username, I will never donate or play any of your servers ever again :thumbdown:

I agree, eGO is falling apart. They are going in a direction that I have no intention in following. That is why I am also going to stop playing. ����

A thread like this is better suited for the Drop Box to deal with admin issues you experienced. That being said, to me your name suggests nothing that is even remotely inappropriate. Not sure what would have caused him to do anything. I would think that this thread would get moved to the Drop Box forums and discussed further there.

I tried to be incredibly patient with you, including warning you three times to change your name. You refused to do so and I simply followed protocol after that.

It's not my place to decide what is appropriate in eGO. I enforce the rules and your name breaks them by including a drug reference. A 'spliff' is a cannabis cigarette and cannabis is a drug. If leadership thinks your ban should be overturned, I'm perfectly fine with that.

As far as your accusations of me bullying.. I don't think I've ever even seen you before and struggle to find a reason as to what would benefit me to bully and or ban our pub players for nothing.

I understand the reference he thought was going on. Here's the thing you're supposed to follow the admins directive and then contact leadership to clarify the name. By not following the admins requests you were breaking a different rule and your ban was justified.
