Speaker help

Hey all, so I have been using some generic Logitech speaking for I have no idea how many years now. The problem comes when I am trying to watch certain videos & have to turn the audio to 100% in order to hear certain scenes. However, I tend to leave it there because the rest of the audio is just fine. I have an ASUS Xonar sound card, so I dont think the sound card is the issue at all (however, if you believe it is, then feel free to call me out on it).

Anyways, I am looking to get better speakers that cannot be very big (as mine sit behind my monitor). I guess if anything the max price point I will go will be $50. I dont really think theres any technology out there that will impress me enough to go over $50.

Like usual, any & all feedback/suggestions are welcome.

You'd be surprised at the amount of decent speakers there are for $50. Check out the Altec Lansing VS260 setup, or if you want an external subwoofer you can try out the Logitech Z313.

is it movies that are ripped? likely just the audio sampling, not the card or the speakers. changing speakers might help marginally , but overall likely won't help that much, as you will still have to turn up the sound.
