I think I've got it down to being an internet issue since I'm able to play games offline just fine. But when I play Battlefield online that is where I'm having most of my issues. I am playing wirelessly and I'm wondering if playing directly connected would make a difference? Also I don't know if the video card I'm using has anything to do with it but I'm using a GTX 750 Ti. The fps seems to be fine when I play offline which makes me think its just an internet issue. I appreciate any feedback.

You could try connecting it through a hard wire as opposed to wireless. If you are thinking it is an internet issue, I would try that first and see what happens. Report back to us with the results!

If it persists, perhaps try turning the quality settings down on battlefield a little. I know that running it at very high/ultra will produce some iffy frame rates on that card, or at least some lag/freezing there

So I connected it directly through ethernet and it seems to be running just fine besides a slight drop in fps here and there, but that's to be expected with that card.

Awesome. Perhaps your wireless card was a bit weak, or the distance/interference too high.
