Pros:
-Artwork and music are great, in game graphics are nice.
-Game runs very smooth.
-Good tutorial.
Cons:
-Movement seems a bit clunky and jittery.
-Confusing at times, hard to tell who has the bomb.
-Takes a while to get used to the abilities.
-Very repetitive; gets boring fast.
-Very easy to score against bots.
Bugs (that I've experienced):
-Controller does not work at all, very broken (beta?)
-Sound seemed to bug when trying to use controller in tutorial
Off the bat, this game seems very promising. The artwork, graphics, and music are phenomenal and create a great atmosphere while the tutorial is thorough and sets the player up nicely to hop into the first game. However, one quickly discovers that, after a few games, the gameplay becomes very repetitive and therefore very boring. Each game I found myself becoming less and less excited and starting to wonder when the game would be over. This is due to the fact that there is only one map with a set course to deliver the bomb. While it is only a beta, I would have suggested that they added at least 1 or 2 more maps to the beta to not make it as repetitive. Additionally, the bots are very easy to score on if you can get to the bomb first.
While I still have hope for this game, it feels like more work has gone into the aesthetics of the game rather than the actual mechanics. I understand it is only a beta and therefore does not have all of the features, however I would have liked to see a bit more variety in the gameplay.
Overall rating of the game: 5.5/10
