Battlefield Division Differences between BF1 and BF4, why to play or not

I know some of us have decided to stick to Battlefield 4 rather than invest in Battlefield 1, which is completely fine. However, I would like to know your reasons why.

My second question is for the entire community, why would you play one game over the other (BF4 and BF1)?

It will depend on my mood, when I want modern day mayhem BF4, when I want to act like turn of the century BF1. The graphics remind me very much of a console game but the fluidity of gameplay even with it's faults is still enjoyable.

Imho Just don't like the whole COD/ arcadeish feel to BF1, Imo, doesn't have the BF feel, or realistic feel either to it, among other issues, But that's just me, I'm old school :/

I just got too bored of BF4, gotta change with the times. The vehicles are quite a spectacle, very overpowered and can cut through infantry very easily without as many threats as in BF4. I'm really starting to play vehicle only lately.

BF1 beta did not leave feeling like I needed to buy the game, and the fact that I (most of us) got burned on BF Hardline. I refuse to buy games anymore on a whim. I'll let them (the game) see if it has the worthiness to stick around, then I may get it.

I prefer BF4, but nobody plays that much anymore... I like playing with team members in TS, more people in TS playing BF1 than BF4, so I am stuck with BF1 one for now....

BF1 rocks! I know it has flaws but so does every game. I like that this game requires teamwork to be successful. It's awesome to work together in t/s and goof off while we "pwn some n00bz."

One thing i must say about BF1 is that it doesn't crash at all! That's a huge +++ for me, especially with three monitors, they really fixed the game code for multi-monitor setups.

I like both games. BF4 has it's shared of faults, especially the first year, but I stuck with it until DICE fixed it. BF4 has been one of the best shooters on the market. BF1 is starting at a better point than BF4. No crashes and fairly balanced weapons. If DICE gives BF1 the same attention, it will likely surpass BF4.

BF1 is a good entry point for new fans. It reminds me of my first BF game: Bad Company 2. BC2 made me a lifelong fan. BF1 has it's hardcore elements under the hood, but on the surface, noobs can play and not be a big hindrance.

At the end of day, BF1 is not a re-skin of BF4. Whereas BF4 felt like BF3.5. BF1 feels like fresh, new experience. The tanks are OP, but have weakness and you barely even the notice the elite classes. Above all, it's fun and will only get better.

For me, I'm liking BF1 so much because of its pure uniqueness. The WWI experience is amazing! I may return to BF4 occasionally, but right now I have no reason to.

I would say each game has it's perks and bad sides to them.
HOWEVER BF1 has won me over, it is just so much fun, classes seem to have more impact over BF4.

A medic or support can be the difference in capping a flag or dying, the scout can actually keep players pinned with the ability to drop an enemy without needing a headshot or being in HC mode.

Aircraft are a blast to fly, slower than the jets and helis and just a blast to bomb the ever loving crap out of people.
