I will preface this by saying I have not been active at all lately due to college. I'm trying to get all my assignments done in advance so I can goof off in the last few weeks of the semester.
That being said, in the limited times I have been on, I've noticed a problem that is growing at a concerning rate: Players bullying other players. I am well aware of certain members of eGO and how they act sometimes, but while I am on, the only rulebreakers I see are people who ridicule this player at every chance they get, even members of eGO. I won't name names, but you know who you are.
This is an alarming problem and it makes me sick to my stomach to see. Five years ago, I joined eGO TF2 because of the fun servers and great community. I didn't want to deal with the stress of being cussed out in the middle of a game because I might not be doing too well. While the rule change about limited cursing feels like a step backwards in that regard, our admins handle it very well and, as I've grown up, I am fine with limited cursing so long as it isn't a problem.
But I draw the line at disrespect and bullying of any kind. I was bullied in middle school for reasons beyond my control. It messed me up inside and the teachers did very little about it. I had the same problem in high school, except people actually stood up for me that time. It was an incredibly kind gesture that I will never forget. I am an anti-bullying advocate in every sense of the word and will stop at nothing to eradicate bullies, abusers, and anyone who feels that they are on a pedestal higher than someone else.
So, imagine how I feel when I log on to an eGO server (and the forums) and see the exact same problems.
This is a plea from me: Stop. I've been in other communities, and none of them feel like eGO. We have grown a one-of-a-kind atmosphere on our servers and forums and I am glad to say I have been a part of it for five years, but seeing this behavior from our own members is absolutely disgusting. Member of our community or not, we all have that one player who gets under our skin. Maybe they break the rules, maybe they don't, but disrespecting that player in any sense does not make you righteous.
You are not crusaders. You are not above the rules.
I'm sorry if this seems mean or harsh, but it's the truth: Bullying other players because they annoy you is asking to get in trouble. You don't make admins' jobs easier and you might even be driving people away from our servers. I'll admit our server population isn't as high as it used to be, but, as far as I know, this is why.
If a player is annoying you, report it to admins. We have plugins to send messages to admins, Teamspeak, Steam, ban request forms, and neighborhood watch reports in the Drop Box. Frankly, if a player is annoying you and you attack him instead of not using these tools and get in trouble for it, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
If a player is annoying you so much that you feel the need to break the rules, you need to take a step back and breathe. We all get what we deserve in the end.

EDIT: A lot of people have replied that they agree with what I'm saying, but that isn't what I want. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we agree, but saying you agree doesn't fix the problem. I don't want you to say you agree with me. I want you to get out there and fight the good fight. There's a recent post in this thread that is a member of our own community complaining that he doesn't play on TTT anymore because it's out of control. I don't want words, I want action. I don't mean for this to be an "I want" post but I think at this point it has to be. Help your fellow members out. Add admins on Steam and tell them when something's going wrong. Typing in team chat with an & sign prefixed to the message will send a message to all connected admins on CSGO servers. Sit in Teamspeak just in case of an emergency and you need an admin. Take chat logs and file a ban request for unruly players. If you don't know how to make condumps, you can pull chatlogs from here.
Please, don't compliment my words. Instead, take them to heart as a call to action. While the quote seems awfully cliche, I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore. Get out there, eGO.
