Anyone else having to deal with Amazon Prime requiring signatures lately?
Just had a package, the first in 5 years, attempted for delivery at 9:46 this morning. Nobody was here to accept it so they re-delivered it to a UPS store in some shopping center. I'm not picking it up, and I'm not waiting around the house or taking a day off work to sign for a package so I told them to cancel the order, re-route delivery back to amazon warehouse.
Amazon tried to give me some story of certain products they sell may require signatures because the box is small, the item is fragile, or expensive. It is a 14.99 electronic item. They always put a tiny item in a box the size of a car so I really doubt the box is too small to leave at my door. I have ordered televisions, a fridge, expensive computer components, candy, food, dog food, appliances, computer monitors, deodorant, literally everything you could think of and I have never been required to sit at my door waiting for the driver to come, which could be at any time during the day up to 8PM at night. And I don't pay for Amazon prime to go pick them up at a store either lol. I remember Amazon used to require signatures but they stopped that years ago, due to the volume of products they ship, and the inconvenience, now all their shipping labels literally say "Carrier - Leave if no response"
