Battlefield 1 BF1 Scraping Guide

Whether you're new to BF1 or just have no clue how this new scraping system works, I will take you through the basics so you can start earning more scraps.
Remember, these skins are only meant to provide a visual enhancement to the weapon. They do not increase or give any advantages other than looking dope when storming the trenches.

First, let's look at the three different types of skins available to you.
They are Special, Distinguished, and Legendary

Each time you open a battlepack, you have a chance of earning one of the three qualities listed above. The chance of receiving a Special quality skin is much higher than the Legendary skin. That being said, the lower quality skins aren't as important and don't look as nice and in my opinion, should be scrapped immediately. Sometimes you will get a duplicate item, and right now the only benefit of having two of the same item is being able to scrap it. But be careful to not scrap both of your well-earned loot.

You might be asking yourself. Now that I have all this scrap, what do I do with it? Well with all the extra you're able to unlock better battlepacks! Neat right? There are actually three different types of battlepacks.

- The basic pack that drops at the end of games
- Enhanced
- Superior

Depending on which skins you're trying to acquire, the Superior is normally the better way to go as it gives a 100% chance of acquiring Legendaries and a higher chance to earn extra puzzle pieces or XP boosts.

Nice post. Good Job Dice.

I saved up so much scrap and purchased the 900 battlepack. It was a waste for me. I got a skin that I scrapped for 30 and no puzzle parts. I spent 900 scraps to get 30 in return. I guess the battlepacks are random. I get more legendary stuff from the battlepacks from regular play than the purchased battlepacks. I hope some of you are more lucky than me. I just try to collect my warbonds and purchase better weapons.

you sure you bought the 900? Only legendaries drop from the 900 case? And a great year to you as well

Yes, I am positive. I scrapped a; I think it's called a swifter shotgun Legend skin to get enough to get that battlepack. I guess I got boned. It took me two weeks to get up to 900 scraps at level 7. What a waste. But I fail in all games that I play anyway. I emailed Battlefield and they replied, sorry, it happens. So I'm now discouraged. Oh well, just worry about collecting them war bonds.

Very interesting. I'm sorry to hear that man. But don't get discouraged! its a really fun game and has a lot to offer. If you find yourself getting bored or uninterested, try switching things up. Join team speak and squad up with some of us, try different game modes. There will be a point where you will find yourself with more than enough War Bonds and will soon be able to purchase everything easily.

Oh, I'm not discouraged. I do enjoy this game. I just had some bad luck, that's all. I just need to get a graphic card. I'm playing with integrated video; and it works, but games sometimes freezes or crashes in the middle of the game. It would be nice to win that 1070 the clan is giving out. The other battle packs for 200 and 400, do they give out legendary weapons too?

Yes they do. But your chances of getting legendary items are much greater with the Enhanced pack.

The common can drop all 3 qualities.
The Enhanced can drop the Distinguished or Legendary.
And the superior, to my knowledge, only drops Legendaries.
