After some bans and closed threads I decided to write this(started last night but had stuff to do
). Besides from some bickering and sour notes I did see some valid points -fears and concerns about the unknown. So here?s a story of the unknown everyone fears. The CSS part of the story was an expected outcome but the GO story we were all in the dark on how it?s going to play out.
Was an e back when this story started after a long period of time playing as a pub(joined due to peer pressure
) At that point when joining I remember Ric stepping down. Most of the older members would cry that the division is dead now. I somewhat felt the same. Didn?t know him well(talked with him only 2 times at that point) but his reputation was well known and knowing about it I had my doubts about which direction the division will go about. The division didn?t die but there were hiccups on the way. We were trying to save the highschool server(remember dot very active in trying to save it with the server filling group). I?ll be honest- I never liked that map let alone play it(love the GO version though) but would still join server filling events when they were announced(would not stay much though due to the above statement). Even after modifications to it- from one shots and whatnot it still died. Then we started seeing Office fading away. There were some attempts to bring more pubs but to no avail. The last server saving gig was attempted by Unknown Specialist. I started remembering of the late nights and long days trying to save the office server with Unknown. Would be me and him playing daily on it and from time to time we had some pubs jumping in- plus we?d have in server filling events MGR-you might know him by bob now
- noona, francis zer0, rogue, the former leadership and a couple of more members jumping in to play but it wasn?t enough to save it. The server was shut off and realized CSS is dead
Then the transition from CSS to CSGO happened. We already had dying servers on GO so a reboot happened. We were once again in the unknown when the jail server was released in the wild and up for grabs. So many sleepless nights and days playing and seeding when sleeping. It was a rough start. There would be only a couple of us. Unknown, myself, Chewy a couple of more(sorry in advance if I forgot to mention some of you) plus former leadership. So we were a handful of players. Like I said it was hard. We would get some pubs joining the server then BAM! the ban hammer(they had to say racist things ugh). It was a rough start. But little by little, one by one the server started to get a small base. It wasn?t a big one to gloat about but it was something. Then Medviah returned to eGO and CS and with his meticulous work ethic from which maps, what games and good wardening(only Zer0c00l is better than him or anyone out there) we managed to get a nice boom, then the jail flourished. Once we got a great base we had another server the 1v1 and we started again. A handful of us jump in and try to jump start the server but the pubs jumping in were toxic as hell. The server still stuck a bit but had great times with everyone on it. Then the third server popped up the ZOMBIE server. God it was awful- it died fast(no comment for this server). Then we had the almighty TTT. This server picked up fast again after a handful of members. There were some ups and downs but it was doing OK. To be honest this was the only server I disliked a lot. Never liked it. Maybe to stressful to admin with everyone crying RDM!! Admin and so on. Would jump and play a bit but it wasn?t my thing. I?ll reveal a little secret(I know I?m bad). When I used to do server filling events on TTT Medviah and other members would PM me through steam of what bounties to add and who won and so on. That?s how much I didn?t like TTT but I loved every single second of it because I was playing with friends(win some lose some kinda mentality but in the end always loved it in the end). I was enthusiastic when Mute showed up(great guy) and said he loves playing TTT. I was like yay so he would do the morning TTT server filling events and I would just do the thursday ones when I would see some irregularities in the traffic of the server(would track how many players would pop up every hour on a daily basis and when I?d see a drop of a couple of players per hour per day and how many points we lost in the rankings). But again the server flourished due to a handful of members Then we had the Warcraft server. Oh how much I loved that server. Still think of it as one of the best servers we had
but it didn?t work out
but great times and tons of memories. Then we had the Deathrun Server. How much I liked that server as well. It?s failure in my mind was due to the server boxes problems we had not the enthusiasm from everyone. It was a really fun mod and tons of maps to it as well but by the time everything was fixed(or mostly) we lost the player base and it died as well. The rest for the newer members you probably know what happened with the rest of the servers.
There were more stuff to add but to lazy to write
but hopefully you got the point. Yes it?s a new terrain for some of you if not all but don?t get discouraged or let fear or frustration get to you. When the leap to GO happened we were all in the unknown but what we had was fun, sleepless nights and each other. It was great. Yes there?s a saying in the CS div (I know I said it a couple of times myself back in the day) is that if the Jail server dies the division will go as well. It?s not true or should it be. It doesn?t matter if it?s jail, TTT or any other server. It?s all about if you?re having fun. It doesn?t matter who leadership is or who will they be but it?s all about like I said having fun, gaming and hanging around with friends and you never know the new friends you?ll meet on the way. It happened to me when we jumped into the unknown and surely it?ll happen to you as well. Just go in confidence and tell that fear to go f* himself and you?ll all be OK. Just have fun and everything will come together. Hope any of this makes sense.

Great things will come for CS, everyone must have patience.
