Your EdgeGamers Story

It all started years ago (2016?) when I saw some of my friends play TTT on Garry's Mod. I had no idea how the game works, but I knew I liked it because they all were having so much fun and laughing all the time. At the time, I didn't have GMod, but I had CS:GO. When I asked one of my friends about TTT they told me that I might find "TTT mods" on CS:GO. I searched it up and found pG TTT server. I joined that server and started asking around on how to play it. I was told I need to read the rules on the website. I did go to the website, read the rules, understood some of it and started playing (I always wonder why new players just join and start killing without even bothering to understand the game first lol). After kind of understanding how the game is played I started really enjoying it and so I started joining the server whenever I had free time. (I knew nothing about CS:GO communities/forums and stuff like that).

Anyway, fast forward 3 or 4 months. Just like any other day, I was playing on the server having fun and all. One of the players was @CanadianProsty. IIRC, he was not an admin yet. He added me on Steam and was like "You seem like a mature guy. Would you like to join the pG community?" I asked what that means and he explained that I will have to join some online forums, etc... So, I was like "No thanks."
I felt like I was rude so I asked him "Does it benefit you in any way if I joined?" and he was like "Well, kinda, if you mention that I recruited you on the application." and so, that's when I joined pG. (You're welcome, @CanadianProsty! :P)

I was promoted to be an admin before the merge with eGO by a couple of days I think. I did not know anything about being an admin and when I learned about the merge I just didn't feel like joining the new community/transferring my account. I was inactive for a while and did not transfer my adminship in time so I lost it. After a couple of months, I started joining eGO TTT. That's when I met sopheyy sopheyy . She was the best admin I met. Always friendly, good and attentive. She added me on Steam and we became good friends. She started telling me that I should join eGO and become an admin. I kept telling her I don't really want that. She tried her best to persuade me. At one point, she dropped on her knees and begged me to join so I did.*

Anyway, when I was promoted to eG she helped me a lot with admining and taught me a lot of stuff. (Thanks sopheyy sopheyy !)

I made a lot of friends in this community. I had fun with a lot of people. Too many good memories to even choose one that stands out. But I do remember the friends I made along the way. A shoutout to all the nice people I met here (sorry if I forgot someone, but you know you have a place in the Dragon's heart ;D):

im a nice person? o.O

Lets see, I'll keep this short since its too early for a long story. Bullet points are going to do it:

  • Joined February 22 2014 into OP: X for the Planetside 2 part of the Division with matt98, Windgod, Vertago, and Megatr0n, along with a few others that I'm fuzzy on the names for
  • Made my O there and joined into Personnel Service Center (PSC) as one of their Divisional Event Coordinators for OP: X
  • OP: X and Planetside got closed and kind of just sent a lot of us on our way since many of us didn't have a game we really wanted to go to, left PSC around this time.
  • Majority of Planetside 2 went to Minecraft, so I went there and split my time between them and doing events with TF2, especially Karaoke Night. Was nice since matt98 came with me and I sort of knew idk_lobster and Foxy and a few others when I first came over.
  • Eventually made Admin Trainer for Minecraft with Foxy and Butterlover
  • Kind of unintentionally ghosted MC when I went to college since I really couldn't use my tech for fun stuff outside of my Senior Advisor's room for the first 8 months of college
  • Checked back in on February 4 2018 when those restrictions were lifted and saw that a lot had changed and I had been dropped to e and placed into Inactive status
  • Decided to remain inactive throughout my college years and focused on primarily World of Warships and some discord and forum based RPs I had gotten into. Admined for Denarmo's (World of Warships YouTuber) discord server and his off shoot RP server he had/has. Had a falling out that is too long to explain here or to make me want to go back to it without raising my blood pressure.
  • Ended up finally finding a home for WoWS in [KENT] and have now been there for about 2 years
  • Saw eGO in a Clan Battle on there and decided that I may as well try to come back
  • Joined back into MC as an e as of like 2 weeks ago

So here we are. Thanks for reading. Hardest part about coming back is trying to find out whose who when like 90-95% of the people you hung around with are no longer here. Oh well, fresh starts all around.

I originally was not a MEMBER of EGO until when my original community named Prestige Gameing(I guess?) merged with EGO maybe 3 years ago. And then yea, we all PG members were moved to EGO. TBH,I was not really a fan of EGO but when I stayed here for couple weeks, I realized hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe I should not being stereotyped. XDD
