Hey guys, I got a Rubik's cube a while back and been having a great time solving and getting better times. Anybody else know how to solve one? What your best time? And do you know how to solve any other cubes? (2x2, 4x4, 5x5, Pyraminx, etc.) And if you use a speed cube I'd love to know which one my best time is 52 seconds. pretty bad

Haven't tried in a long time, but iirc the last time I checked my best time for 3x3 was around 50 secs. I have two white Moyu 3x3s, a white Moyu Pyraminx, a white Moyu Megaminx (that I still don't know how to solve fully lol), and a white LanLan 2x2.

Ive solved one about 10 times. Boutght one and learned the pattern. Got bored of it before I could start timing myself lol. But I was very happy that I could solve it.

I think my best 3x3 solve ever was like 40 seconds. I still use beginner's method, so it's just a matter of muscle memory and luck, been wanting to learn Fridrich method but I don't have the time for that right now lol.

Well... Back in high school my best times were around 20 seconds, I used to do competitions and I have a fancy 2nd place trophy sitting around somewhere. If you asked me to do it now I think it would be around 1 minute :/ I have 3 speed cubes; Dayan Guhong, MoYu Weilong, and another one that I don't know the name of

But speed cubing wasn't my focus, I absolutely love learning how to solve new twisty puzzles. I have around 40 puzzles in my collection 0.o 2x2 through 7x7, megaminx, pyraminx, gear cube, helicopter cube, companion cube, mirror cube, face turning octohedron, 3x3x9, etc. I used to know how to solve them all, but now I'll have to get a couple refreshers from the Internet. The most difficult ones for me are the face turning octohedron and then 2x4x6, they're my favorites because solving them requires more thinking and less repetitive algorithms.

Same lol, I've always just used the beginner method (I think it's called the Ortega Method?) I don't know if I'm that dedicated to cubing to learn the other ones :bored:

I started trying to solve my Rubik's Cube back in like 1983 when I got my first one, and was watching the Saturday morning cartoon with Rubik in it.
Sad thing is I never solved it, but had fun solving one color, and then sometimes 2.
At some point I took the stickers off and then put them back on. This solved it, but the stickers never stayed on good after that.
I got really good at making a ball with the snake...or a triangle. Pretty sad I know...but I did have fun.
