I figured I may as well do one of these cause why not. I can make a little history for myself.

I joined eGO in 2010 on a school day when I was home sick and was trying out Insurgency for the first time. I had played our CS servers a few times and loved Jailbreak, as well as the infamous High School Server (I don't have that many hours on CS, but almost all of them are on high school). It filled the void of time after school and in the evenings each day and was a lot of fun. The first day I played Insurgency I found the old Dust2 server and was invited by a member to join the site and check it out. Before this I was a forumaholic - I loved finding a good active forum with great discussion, and the ones I had previously been on were mostly Runescape Private Server sites. Needless to say, eGO caught my attention fast. I jumped into Ventrilo and met some awesome people - Ice Hearted Killer, Turk, ShepardOfGod, JESUS. It definitely made for a great first impression of joining.

Back then we didn't have Community Managers, but Council members. USCG Hammer was our INS rep on there, and after playing a bit with him, he introduced me to Team Fortress 2. I fell in love with the game and jumped on that real fast. I met some life long friends there (shoutout to spidEY) and can always jump on the game for a good time still, 7 years later.

After about a year in eGO I took a break as life changed - I was only 13 or 14, so I had lots of growing up to do. I played some Minecraft, some TF2 Surf (Like 400 hours of it...) and even spent a few hundred hours in EVE online. All games that eGO had introduced me too.

But wait, you ask, how did I get back here? Something about this community seems to keep dragging people back regardless of how many times they leave. I heard we had a Planetside 2 group going at this point, so in 2013 I was quickly dragged back in and had a few months of fun playing with the OP:X division! Sadly that game died off a bit, so I receded back into the shadows for some time, with the occasional gameplay.

So I wasn't on the internet, where was I? I actually got a job as a mechanic and spent a few years doing that full time. My weekends and evenings were divided between time at the local race tracks, and going to different car meets any night of the week I could. I did a ton of photography and had a blast doing it, and still do. I realized I had a real passion for media and took a step back from working on cars to return to school and pursue my current career - Television and Film production.

I came back to eGO more full time in mid-2015, since I was now in college on a somewhat remote campus where there was little to do. I had been playing a lot of DoD:S and decided to settle down there, starting a new eGO journey. A lot of people had not seen much of me for 4-5 years at this point, since I had been fairly quiet. I enjoyed nights battling through the sewers of Kalt and playing other games like GTA5 with an amazing group of people.

Nearing the end of last year, I decided to come back around to the TF2 division, getting hooked on the game once again and looking to help out. I got my chance to join my first eGO team, the Recruitment Coordinators. We've helped gain some awesome recruits and keep some cool cats hanging around the eGO servers and teamspeak. Did I mention we host the most awesome karaoke nights? Yeah, keep your eyes peeled for that.

Somehow, the TF2 leadership team felt I would make a good advisor, so I got to experience a very different side of eGO for the past few months. It was super cool to do more behind the scenes work and spend hours with our team trying to find ways to make our servers and community more awesome, and plan out some great events that would keep everyone having a good time.

Sadly, life has become very busy with my career, school, working, and personal interests, so my time as leadership had to come to an end with my more sporadic and entirely random schedule. DON'T WORRY I'M NOT LEAVING. You'll still see me trying my best to help out our awesome RC team.

So yeah. There's a little bit about me and my history at eGO. Despite visiting other communities and servers, there are none like this out there. We have amazing servers (I never have connection issues), a great community, and a great attitude that make me never want to leave and keep hanging out.

So to cap it all off, enjoy a video of me eating an Oreo because I am an idiot.

Dang, I remember Planetside 2, was a fun game. Real shame that it died out so fast. Glad you are sticking around still
