Well you don't have to worry about me, I am the guy that never wants to be medic...

I want you on my team!
I'm really annoyed that this had to happen. This disrupts the team-based element and makes people farm for achievements. Not only does this have immediate disruptions to the gameplay but it has long term effects in that some medics will inevitably have an advantage over others. I would hate it if other players on my team would look down at me or be annoyed if I didn't unlock the achievements. I am just not as hard core. Previously, hard core or not, everyone was on an equal playing field.
Why doesn't Valve look at Halo 3, which awards you with armor pieces instead of new weapons to ensure that skill is the only deciding factor in the game?
I agree with everyone that says that this update is compromising the fun on the servers. However, being the responsible and intelligent community of eGO, we should still play with the purpose of teamwork. Make the game more enjoyable for everyone by only being medic when you need to. It is this element that caused me to join the clan in the first place.
I think I remember that a while ago, people were talking about having some eGO event dedicated just to unlocking the achievements. Sure, you could call it cheating or conspiring, but I disagree with Valve's design decisions, and I think that doing this would encourage people to not immediately switch to medic.
Also, don't you feel incredibly special and useful when you are the only medic on a team? While it may be better to have more medics (before the update I mean), people are grateful to you for choosing a class that not many people previously would go for. I felt a great sense of comradeship when I said, "Who needs a medic?" Now, I think this whole concept is reversed.
