CS:S Office Server and General Annoucement

I see. Well...... What is we had an experimental map server where we tested new maps. It could have a system where players could tell us what they like or don't like like about maps. It could also result in a new leadership position in charge of on-boarding new maps, and overseeing the creation of new maps. If this position was created, either RougeSniper or RDK should get it, as they are both O's when lots of map making experience who knows what works and what doesn't.

Map rotations do not need a sole leadership position - it's a team decision with lots of discussion and input.

First, we had difficulty moving into the CS:GO realm.
Now, we have difficulty keeping the CS:S dream alive, minus Dust2.

Most of the people in this division probably play CS:GO, with little or no interest in CS:S, minus a few like myself.

Maybe a dedicated CS:S fill team?

Good idea. Talk to Boe about this

Rotation may indeed be the way to go. Random question - any reason we don't ever do bots to seed a server? No one wants to be the first one onto the server since you can't do anything and others don't wanna play with a small handful. Why not have min of 10 people where bots fill as many spots as necessary but leave as humans join? Just a thought.

Rotations are rough. We've tried this across every game and it's always so hit and miss.

The bots wouldn't be a bad idea honestly. Cause Cript is right. No one wants to be the first on a server and wait for other people to get on.

And Syrus, I am not sure that would be a good idea. What needs to happen is people who do play CS:S need to look into bringing some of the everyday players into eGO. I've been playing on the server here and there and have noticed a few of the same names. We don't really have a huge member base in CS:S that I know of to warrant a separate division. I may be wrong but it just seems that way to me.

That would be accurate. I haven't played css much lately but in the past year there was only a small group of eGO players on it now.

I can say I'd play Office every day if there were bots. Bots lead to humans.

I agree with this, there have been times that I have sat in the Office server waiting for people to join. Usually after 20 minutes of breaking windows and killing hosties without any pubs joining, I would decide to disconnect. Sometimes people would join, but after playing multiple rounds of 1v1 they would eventually leave.

Any thoughts on bots for office?

Additionally, I definitely agree with having bots on the server as you had mentioned that bots lead to humans. It would still require help from members of course, but bots would be helpful if a few of us decided to try and fill office. The bots would give some added help until more pubs connected.

CS:S division and CS:GO division?

Also, I was always in favor of this idea, however, the former members in leadership would always say that CSGO was the priority and for that reason, they were focusing on CSGO and not CSS when I would bring this up to them. I just always felt that even if they were not receiving equal attention, that CSS still deserved attention.

Hi guys, I've gone to play a few times on the Office server (random times, nothing in particular) and found it empty. Are there any plans to change or promote the server or are we going to be giving it up for other uses? Just looking for an update from this thread. Thanks guys.

This is still in discussion in leadership, we do not have any official info now.

We are aware of the server performance (it enters my mind every day as I update the server ranking).
Our focus (at least of the leadership team) has been on filling the Jailbreak server and making it a fun environment.

Got up to 7 on Office yesterday but everyone bailed as soon as a couple people did. Was a decent time. Starting to think either way we go (rotation or office) should have bots until it's a self-sustaining server.
