The other day when I fired up my pc my secondairy monitior was in the wrong resolution.
Now the resolution is max 1024/768 when the monitor itself is a Native Resolution. Full HD (1080p) 1920 x 1080
I've always used it on 1920/1080 without any problems, My graph card is up-to-date ( evga classified 1080 )
Now there is only a dvi connection on the monitor which I connected to my graph card.
I've tried a dvi to mobo and dvi to hmdi on mobo but it doesn't even recognise the monitor when i connect it to my mobo ?

Now i've 2 questions,

1. Anyone know what the problem may be ? As far as i know the drivers of the secondairy monitor are up to date ( benq G2410HD )
2. Why doens't my mobo recognise the monitor ? Could it be the connections don't work? ( it's only a 2 months old board ) ( msi z270 pro carbon )

Could it be that the cable it damaged or my monitor is not properly identifying the graphic card ( which still does not explain why my mobo doens't recognise it. )
Could it be I just need new monitor ?

When I set ''make a resolution'' in the nvidia config and make one at 1920/1080, it will appear black with some blue lines flickering.

I just swapped the dvi cable with the cable that came with my main screen i'm using now.
It did not solve the problem :(

If you are using a dedicated graphics card, the graphics from your motherboard will be disabled, hence the lack of output there. You have to use your GPU's connections.

Thankyou for your quick answer.

That is probably why it doens't work on my mobo, But that still does not explain why it ain't working on my gpu.
It always did until yesterday.

What's the setup of connections out of the GPU there? Just to be clear

And you want to use DVI and HDMI?

DVI, The HDMI is being used by my main monitor. and the DVI was always used by my second monitor.
Just as it is now... But now only the resolution is wrong, and I cant set the right one
